Tuned in to (Melbourne) radio ahead of the Gold Coast game, and one of the voices was saying that this is a club who struggles with expectations, and doesn't always win the games that they should win. Such is my mindset that I was suprised to hear he was talking about Gold Coast.

In that context, the only thing I can say for sure is that we won't win next weekend. When we come back after the bye, we should be capable of winning all 5. But my best guess is that we'll drop the Essendon game, get a rocket put up the team leading to a 10 goal pumping of St Kilda, scrape home against Sydney, then get blown out of the water by Hawthorn. (My prediction on the Hawthorn result is coloured by the fact I hate Hawthorn, so of course that'll be the one that we do worst in.)

With Shai Bolton & LJ, two of the most damaging players in the comp, anything is possible.
With the grunt of Brayshaw, Serong & Treacy look the **** out

first crack had a ladder of the top 9 teams vs each other. Dockers were 3rd with a 4-2 record.

Crows have a 1-4 record against the top 9 teams this year.

Should give freo a bit of hope about a good run post bye.

In a silly sort of way at least losses against Swans, Melbourne and Saints shouldn’t impact the 8 as much.

If we had of beaten Swans and Melbourne but lost to GWS and say Dogs, you could argue we’d be worse off.

If were to drop one of our next 3, North would be the best one to drop. Must put more gap between us and Essendon and Saints.

Hawks game much later could be crucial.

Lots of crystal balling but many of the teams around us play each other over next 3 weeks. So, winning will definitely allow us to leapfrog some teams that will inevitably have to drop 4 points.

It's a nice thought Posh, just not sure we're gunna see Scoop before the end of the season.

This Young recovery is dragging too, dammit.

I thought Young was still within the initial timeframe? Not that those can always be trusted.

Scoop - Is that what they are calling him? I like it. I am hoping he will come back with a couple of rounds left. Will keep on hoping as I think he makes us very hard to match up on.

I said in another thread that they are both in the ten most damaging players in the comp. How ridiculous that they are both playing for us!

Brayshaw has gone up a level this year. Is physically more imposing to go with everything else he brings!

Yeah mate I still see Hayden at 8-9 weeks, unless you've heard or seen something different.
