Wheels falling off at Skobland?
I’m hearing some rumblings. Particularly around selection integrity. Watch this space.

Troll , can't wait for Brian
Not at all. Dont shoot the messenger Bedders. If Platinum Brian Sausage is still going to games and chatting with influential types at post match drinks..he will have heard. He will have heard.

Somehow still in the four
Braahton one pointers home and hosed
#boring
Xavs v Braahton GF im thinking.
Some young kids coming on quickly at Xavland. It’s like a quality crèche down there that is quickly improving. And the depth down there makes the Pacific Ocean’s depth seem like a kiddies pool at the local gym.

I am a bit worried about my lions this season. We have been in pretty much every game except on the weekend and in round 1 against a decent Old Haileybury side, but we just have not converted our opportunities, and now we are missing gun experienced players in Ong and Hibbins has hurt the side a fair bit as well.

I'm hopeful that a strong showing against Old Xavs will help turn the wheel for the boys.
Was not great viewing @ Toorak Park. Lions had a couple of competitive qtrs, but 2nd to it otherwise.
The tight losses hurt now, as in all those matches were in positions to win. Nabbing 1 or 2 of those would have greatly eased the pressure.
Key absences thru injury are biting, plus a couple more with ice packs on Sat too !
Need to rebound hard post the break & nail all close encounters. Plus for the Qld & Gippsland recruits to jump up. A better mob than ladder suggests, now to actually show that’s ‘true’….

ATM you and Blues are competing for the drop. There is a lot of season to go and Blacks and Bernies are far from safe however you both have two games to bridge

Cannot disagree with those observations. An adage being tossed around of late will play a part I suspect. Your best ability is your availability !
Depth & best outfit being on the ground will likely determine destinies….

Can't understand how Fitzroy can be an Old Boy's club.
They were VFL, and when Fitzroy took over the Bears, Fitzroy went into hibernation before taking over Uni Reds.

This is what happened.

In December 2008, at the instigation of the then Fitzroy (University) Reds president Craig Little, the University Reds Football Club (known as the 'Fitzroy' Reds from 1997) transferred all its assets to the Fitzroy Football Club (formed 1883).

The University (Fitzroy) Reds terminated its membership of the VAFA and was wound up as a incorporated company and football club.

By special dispensation from the VAFA, the Fitzroy Football Club (formed 1883) then replaced the Fitzroy [University] Reds in D-Grade [Premier D] VAFA for the 2009 season.

Dyson Hore-Lacy, chairman of Fitzroy in the AFL in 1996, automatically became chairman of the Club in the VAFA.

Good to know things like this
I regard them as a suburban club
