Someone mentioned Dempsey as Ed’s match up when we next play Geel, but I’d equally see him as capable of matching up on Smith or Holmes.
Great to have a kid with the athletic profile to match these guys.

Dempsey plays wing. The other two haven't been when ive watched. Holmes is a good comparison though of the type of player that Ed might be able to become.

Currently projecting more as a quicker Lipinski but far from the finished product so who knows what his ceiling might be. Does he stay more an outside runner or does he eventually become more inside as he adds size and experience?

He has the potential to be either - an outside mid / Wingman, or a big-bodied inside mid. He has the tank for a Wingman and becoming an A-Grader in this position is probably more quickly obtainable. A good apprencticehip there and he could transition into a more bona fide midfield role.

I like him on a wing. Covers the ground beautifully and his exposure to an inside mid role at VFL has given him poise with his disposal. If he could add to his aerial game he could potentially be up there with some of the best we’ve had, and we’ve been blessed with some sensational wingmen over the journey.
