Yes it sucks but its best for him as playing him a small forward exclusively isn't doing much

I have no idea why they are playing him like that. He's a mid and a good one. Play him in his natural element

I'm against him being out too but he'll jump straight into the midfield and knowing his standards, have a good block to get his confidence up and touch.

I’m not seeing a lack of confidence or touch. I get what you are saying, I just don’t think his performances need any of those things. He needs to keep developing ang playing at the level to be the best version of himself.

I want Wil as a leading FF, like Modra. He is very capable of that. Empty the 25 metre space. Draw the defenders wide and let him lead into space. If he drops the mark, the smalls are there to mop up starting wide from the 25.

I agree on him staying in, should be playing for the rest of the year. However there's obviously a reason on why he's out. He's played consecutive weeks in a tough role in a poor forward line so I'm assuming Cox wants him to have a few games in his natural position in the 2s.

Incredibly disappointing team changes. No balls from Cox, dropping young players that did nothing wrong as a scapegoat. I'm no Ladhams fan but he was our best key forward. Mitchell showed more intent than most senior players. Cleary should be playing. Hamling out fine, Roberts illness, can't argue that.

Switch McLean, Lloyd and Bice out for Ladhams, Cleary and Mitchell.

Nice to have Harry and Wicks back, two triers, but it's not a team that inspires anything but dread.
God knows what the coach has asked them to do but I want to see an old-fashioned Swans full-court defensive effort. Lay 60-70 tackles, keep them below 10 goals, concede zero 50m penalties and zero suspensions. I can't imagine us kicking more than 10 goals in any case. More important than winning or losing, I want to see some hard, disciplined footy, win back some of the respect that took years to build and that these clowns have squandered in six weeks.

But my god it’s weak selection changes. Sheldrick and Cleary scapegoated for a god awful performance by some of the senior players.

Subs have not been named yet. Just because he is last named it doesn't mean he will be sub. They have up until 1 hour before the game to name the Sub.

That's the problem and why Bice and Lloyd for example are still in.

You can't possibly make more changes than he has without totally stuffing the team.

There are only so many "kids" you can play agaisnt AFL oppostion, even Richmond, before you are not teaching them but putting them up for a flogging and sapping any confidence out of them.

I cannot believe we are favourites for this game with the ins and outs, form lines being on the G. I am not sure if wet weather helps or hinders us actually. Our skills are none exisitant anyway and I reckon we will get beaten even by the Tigers.

Going to be a hrad slog for players to come in off limited prep, play in the wet, with our form and produce 4 quarters of effort. Lucky its the Tigers but I still think we have too many in too quick even though they are better than what they are replacing - they can't have fitness.

Anyway he had to make a statement and the non selection of Florent at least is a positive one in the scheme of things.

The Cleary one I don't get at all, as I think he's been a valuable contributor and an important piece in our best footy this year.

Re the rest, I do wonder how much of it is the coaches basically saying it is up to the senior players to get themselves out of this hole, and that rather than expecting the kids to do it, and it getting ugly, and thus hurting the kids' confidence, let the senior players knuckle down and figure this out for themselves.
