Baz and Flynn combo is short sighted and something we need to avoid like the plague imo.

Much rather we pump games into arch and Jwill and increase their exposure in the ruck.

Bwill is a known quantity. Glad mini avoided the temptation of having both in.

Shame about long , thought he was ok last week. But being real he is probably one of the guys we need to upgrade moving forward.

Strange call? So you judge a player on his kicking for goal?
The fact that he’s quicker, better tackler ,better mark and certainly equal or higher in footy IQ than JW. But JW is a better player?
The Judd figures you throw up; are they related to all shots in goal or only set shots. Big difference

A key forward, yes I would judge them at least partly on their kicking for goal. They’re in the side to kick goals. Fluffing shots on goal when the team has worked hard to create them is a massive deflater.

I didn’t say Williams is or isn’t a better player than Reid. But now that you mention it, I think currently he’s slightly ahead, on balance.

That’s Judd’s overall stats, obviously, that’s all that’s readily available 17+ years after he played his last game for us. Are you saying he was a bad set shot? I don’t remember that at all.

Surprised as anyone here that we didn't bring B. Williams in to help Flynn out...

Having said that, not unhappy either as I'm digging the fact that we get to see J.Will and Arch out there together.

Those lads are our future after all.

Arch & J.Will to snag 2 each this week

According to Splinters, Oscar is in doubt with his dodgy knee and Bailey might come in.

Can’t say I’d be thrilled to go into a winnable game with Williams, Williams and Reid as the key targets.

The games Bailey Williams played post his WAFL demotion were the best we've seen from any of our ruck/forwards this year. Weird not to bring him back in if he was out managing an injury, must be carrying something still.

Also Rough on Long, would have been nice to see him have a chance to play the Cripps role a little longer. Hopefully Allan gets a full game but he's definitely starting as sub, not really any alternatives there.

Edit: Noah Long v Cripps most recent game. Naturally grinds my gears if we were to pretend the team is selected on form.

5 inside 50's from Long last week is more than in any game from Cripps this year.

If you play any of those fantasy games, surely you make Xerri the captain? A really good test for the midfield group to see if they can hold their own for 4 quarters against a pretty handy unit.

I think we'll win if we can get supply but I can easily see us getting dominated at the ball. I'm calling it - 45+ i50 for us we win.

Yep, Xerri is my fantasy player for the bye rounds block in the tipping comp I’m in. For the very reason that he’d able to dine out on our rucks.

Expecting a 25 disposal, 45 hitout and 10 tackle outing from Tristan.

Disappointed at the lack of melts?
There will be a magic time in the far flung future, when the circular discussion involving Flynn, B.Wills, J.Wills, and A.Reid ceases to exist. But many other circular discussions will evolve and predominate. Such is life in the land of the bouncy oval ball.

If it's come from stick dick, i'll believe it when I see it.

Having said that...not implausible. Oscar needs robot legs

If it is still on the cards that he is leaving and we are hoping his contract will be big enough for Band 1 then we are better off lying about it and saying it is because of the flu and not because of his knee.

It's comments like this that show how people completely do not understand the situation or the system.

Also this particular poster is a fool anyway.

As a key forward? No.

It’s not unfair to expect your goal kickers to kick goals.

Nowhere in the conversation was there a comparison of REID and JW as a forward. It was as the better footballer.Nobody disputes JW is the better kick for goal.AR is showing more than JW at the moment.Put ya knickers back on and stay with the conversation

Juddy was lethal on the run. Remember his 5 at the Gabba ? Definitely a shaky set shot.
I don’t go to the game that often but last week I saw the match and Reid was very impressive with the little things. He has the game to ruck, play KPF, or KPD.
JW is a stay at home key forward, part time ruck.

Comparing two key forwards and saying you’re comparing them as footballers, not key forwards, is absolute nonsense.

What do you mean? I'm pretty sure most felt that if someone was going to go out it was going to Jack?

Agree that having Baz coming in to help Flynn in the ruck would have been a better plan, and Baz should have come in for Jack.

Lol, you don't drop the forward who kicked 2 goals and was involved in the most score's for his team. That's a genius move.

Reid should've been dropped for Bailey, then perhaps he could go to the WAFL and finally earn a game by doing something crazy, like hitting the scoreboard.
