After 3 years they go into the AFL elite comp.
No preferential F/S or NGA access either.

It does make sense from a business perspective, but the claim to being a football club representing North Melbourne is greatly weakened.

At least when they played in Tassie they could claim it was for the good of the sport and it allowed Tasmanians access to AFL.

The WAFL was heartland recruiting zone for Norf the the 70's, 80's and early 90's until the draft really tightened up.
