The Tasmanians don't want to be associated with North they want their own club without the baggage of a shittruck minnow from Melbourne & who could blame them.
Yep.

And how’s that travelling now?

The shit sandwich they’re munching on comes with a side dish of reality. That reality being that most Tasmanians don’t want the billion dollar stadium deal the AFL have dished up as an ultimatum to get that standalone team.

It'll happen you also have to factor in the AFL have no appetite to force clubs to move, merge or 'god forbid' fold it's not the 90's anymore in hindsight we were lucky to get shot of Fitzroy.

I reckon they’d love to force North to move to Tassie.

No need for draft compromise etc.

It’s just they don’t control them directly so can’t without a legal fight.

The appetite is there, but nobody wants to cook, so they are trying to order something stupidly expensive from uber eats instead.

I really don't think they would it was a different proposition dangling North money to piss off to the Gold Coast in a market where no one gives a shit, Tasmania is a traditional football state that wants their own identity not a re-branded garbage club the locals have little interest in as shown by the paltry crowds at Bellerive in recent years.

Brad Scott's usage of Merrett is baffling. By far their best player, like it isn't even close, and they play him in a nothing role on the flanks to make room for Darcy Parish and Will Setterfield. Such a terrible coach.

It does make sense from a business perspective, but the claim to being a football club representing North Melbourne is greatly weakened.

At least when they played in Tassie they could claim it was for the good of the sport and it allowed Tasmanians access to AFL.
The WAFL was heartland recruiting zone for Norf the the 70's, 80's and early 90's until the draft really tightened up.

A few weeks ago when Channel 7 went down to Bunbury. They found that one of the light towers .Was obstructing one of the camera. views.South Bunbury Shire had to move the light tower 1.5 metres, one way.
At a cost of $180,000.But the grounds now setup for Norfs current agreement. And possibly future Norf games down their.
Couldn't. theymove. the Camera?

So they’ve been ripping them off for the best part of 50 years then?
