All the leaks coming out and none of them from St Kilda. I'm assuming that's a good thing. Port is clearly trying to leak some kind of agenda via Caro. Adelaide pushing their agenda in reponse to the Tex stuff. Ben Williams clearly has an agenda (a reasonable one) of protecting his reputation and clients. Nothing from us though. Hopefully a good sign that we are just getting it sorted behind closed doors and waiting for the right time to announce.

I'm not even going to get start on losing Tony Lockett.

We literally lost the greatest AFL goalkicker of all time.

We got a few draft picks, didn't win a premiership because of the trade. Didn't really go anywhere because of it, just lost an icon of the game.

Enough is Enough.

Two years later we were in a GF that we should never have lost but for typical horrific luck that only St Kilda could cop.

The club is doing everything possible to re-sign Nas so I'm not sure who your enough is enough is aimed at.

This is legit laughable now. I still think Adelaide and Port are being used by his manager to pump us for more cash.

Ultimately, Adelaide and Port are the ones that need to sell Nas on leaving somewhere he wants to be. The best thing we can do is to get a few wins over the next month, to either retain nas or attract future talent. If we can find a way to 2:2 in that time frame, our fixture genuinely opens up enough to play finals

1991 - could have gone all the way had it be for the strange AFL finals system.

We didn't go that much further than 1997.

We lost arguably the greatest ever player.

This is not directly aimed at NWM scenario, I am also outright against trading Marshall.

...........I really believe that he had good intentions but was just so out of touch. Like I said in a previous post, we all like to think we are progressive however we can easily be offensive in our ignorance.
I am as guilty as anyone on this count, but like Tex, or Eddie, I try to learn and be better for it.

A bit like making jokes about raping children in a recurring signature. Child sexual abuse is so amusing eh? Why not add one in there about raping women as well. That would be hilarious.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nas and desperately want him to re-sign with us (if he doesn't re-sign, I will be pretty darn despondent). However, if he doesn't want to be with us, we move on and find players who do.

I don't really get your question regarding TDK? Of course I want TDK and think it will be a huge thing for the club if we land him as a big fish free agent.

Plugger missed some absolute sodas early in the game. Give him 14 shots at goal usually & you'd get 12 snags back. In a 7 point game it undoubtedly had an effect.

Not to deny that Thuglett absolutely cost us dearly with two acts that would have seen him miss multiple months in modern day footy.

Probably one of the greatest finals that I have seen. We had all the tools that year, just needed belief.

Bit like our 2004/2005 campaigns.

How we have had 15 years of absolute rubbish is beyond me. IMHO all stems from trading out our heart and soul in 2012-15, we were left with no leadership on the field and almost no talent too.

That is a fascinating piece of history, and one of many parts in the annals of history, in a chapter titled "St Kilda bad luck"

Along with things like:

- The 2004 preliminary final ground invasion which cost St Kilda momentum after they'd opened up a 14-0 lead, Port steadying immediately afterwards and eventually Saints lost by 6, missing the chance to play a cooked Brisbane who they held a 2-1 record over in the prior 3 meetings

- Paul Chapman's 2009 novel treatment for his injury which was later banned, allowing him to play the GF

- Hawkins poster

- Milne's bad bounce in 2010

- The ridiculous fact that draws were allowed at all - rule rightfully later changed

- McCartin's concussion dramas

Agree with this. We had them well covered, and Ablett sought out and ironed out 2 x stand out players.......then Geebung started to look like they could win the game......

If Nas leaves it’s for family.
We can’t hate Nas for that even though it would hurt so much
If we’re happy to have TDK, Higgins, Buttler, Hill, Henry, Wood, Macrae , Steele, Howard, Stocker, Jones, Dow, Cordy and Carrol then it’s pretty obvious there’s times you’re going to lose players the other way.
