Not sure how Banfield keeps his place over Dudley, Dudley played his way in over a number of weeks while Banfield played his way out. But apparently Banners 13 touches, 0.0 and 0 tackles in the wet was enough to hold out Duds during his non footy related week out. Hmmm
Banfield is playing as a back. Played his role last week.
Would mean Wagner going back.

Probably has something to do with one of them playing half back and the other forward pocket.

Love these types of comments.. lol 😂 it's like you watched the game and yet have no idea what position they've been playing 😬

Darcy didn't have much impact either, duds should come in and play ruck

I thought he only went back when Worner went out.

Banfield flexibility is a bonus

O'Meara isn't named at Peel either (at least not in the first line-up for Thursday night). There's bound to be some changes before Saturday with the AFL emergencies.

Banfield is a half forward who has been shuffled around recently to accomodate in-game injuries. Happy?
He has kept his place in the team this week as JL and selection committee thinks he has done a decent job and played his role in defense, which started covering the injury to coops in game and then continued into the suns game. whether it continues remains to been seen, but we are talking about this week.

You compared his performance and stats where he was playing defense as a reason he should of been replaced by duds who plays fwd.. understand?

I personally think Banfield played his way in after his performance against Gold Coast. Or conversely, didn't play his way out.

Also, if Fyfe is sub, at least Banfield can be moved forward, back, wing or otherwise to maintain team balance if we lose a player early to injury and Fyfe has to come on earlier than expected.

Whenever Banfield is spoken about in a changes thread:

Selection is not always linear. A bit like how we replaced a small forward and half back (Duds and Simpson) with a midfielder and a ruck (Fyfe and Darcy) for Gold Coast. You try and get your best players in and shuffle positions to suit. It’s hardly revolutionary.

Hmmmm...guess you're right...Screw the team balance! Duds in Darcy out 😂

With Fyfe & Darcy on very limited minutes due to lack of conditioning, you then want to bring in Dudley who has had half a preseason and has only averaged 60% TOG in the games he's played. It's illogical.

We should be alright, Margetts retired a few years ago.

Who would he replace on form? Switta has had some big games and Freddy plays a different position. He isn't taking Bolton's place and that leaves Bruce. Who has been better than Dudley this year. Dudley will get another opportunity and I look forward to seeing what he can do next season and 8kg lighter.
