Ugly> Nicks selecting Murphy.
Murphy has been a useless selection for two years. Consistently disappears and harIts the very definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
The consistent selection of Murphy has yielded the very same results for a long time. Im not sure what Nicks thinks will change. No evidence has presented itself Murphy is the answer.
This could be the start of a slippery slide down the ladder like 2023.

It looks like we are making Walker our main target going into the forward line the last couple of weeks. For all the flack Walker cops on here (and he obviously struggled), Fogarty gets off far too easy.
H2h their stats over the last month would be very similar. One is 35, on his last legs. The other is meant to be in their prime, he needs to be offering us more.
But to not do anything during the game? When it's there to be won?He was never going to admit his selection mistake
Cannot even take a chest mark, fmd.And what did Murphy bring.
No forward pressure
No clean skills
Can't do a defensive job
Is not a natural goal kicker.
He deserves way less than a man conversation. Something like this is more befitting his status.Time for Balme to have a man conversation with Maffew.
Speaking of morons, where are the "Nicks-is-a-genius" happy clappers from last week, tonight? And yet we STILL had numpties in the changes thread this week trot out their usual "one selection won't make a difference".
They are as clueless as Nicks, fancy hitching your wagon to that moron.
I missed that. Anyone got any vision to share?Side note.
Murray Davis and Nicks arguing in the box in the last qtr. Not sure what it was about. But it looked heated and Nicks seemed upset.

Balme: "Hands up who has a senior coaching role?"
Nicks: raises hand
Balme: "Not so fast"
Dan Curtin continues to impress. Second half quieter than his 1st but he is building and starting to realise how strong he is and he gets up and down the ground with ease nowIt was a shit game to watch
But I thought our intensity was generally good, dropped off a couple of times but got back in it. Stuck tackles more than usual.
Thought we were on top most of the game and should have won.
People said we didnt deserve to beat brisbane - based on that, hawks didnt deserve to beat us. Is this evidence that hawks are no good, or are we both decent?
Last week, and this week, is evidence we're around the mark but lack polish imo, some of which is coaching particularly in close games. But also the players can lack composure. Teach the young ones (or pick them to see), the old ones wont learn.
Forward entries were poor. Kicking at goal was worse. So many half chances missed, far more than the hawks did.
Smith, Murphy added nothing. Any of Edwards/Draper/Dowling were better picks. Given the conditions Tex probably shouldnt have played either but I'm not strongly against it. His 2nd halves though are a problem, getting tired I guess.
Should have won.
He looked absolutely lost when he came onWas anyone at the game?
What did we do structurally once Smith was subbed on? Did one of our regular defenders play elsewhere?
This!Nicks has loser instincts.
Was he on Impey ?ANB had a poor game on a night which he should be suited by.
But maybe he had a defensive job to do on someone? I couldn't tell but he was noticeably inconspicuous.
Who?Speaking of morons, where are the "Nicks-is-a-genius" happy clappers from last week, tonight?
I saw that.Side note.
