Got a sneaky feeling De La might knock off Xavs tomorrow. Some sole searching and reflection over the bye, coupled with a celebration of life for VAFA and De La legend Col Glover who passed recently will see the Blue and Gold register its first win of the season.
They must have improved since round one!

Kennedy either to get injured in first 10 mins or have 40 touches.

Yes, in Josh Kennedys Day, it was a grand time when the Swans ruled the AFL world. They seemingly stole the grandson of a hawks legend and he waltzed around AFL grounds getting massive numbers of possessions at will. The team gelled around him and went on to achieve success beyond their wildest dreams. Now, the Swans are a shambles. Or rabble as the Adelaide player called them.

Rather him still at the Swans
The last I heard was he had a debilitating back injury, but would still knock up getting them at league level. Let's see how he goes on the close confines of the Bell, should suit him down to the ground, sore back and all.

He went to Lourdes in southern France and had a miracle cure.

Today’s elimination final, match of the day has set the final four
ScotchiesQAFL are done. Final four is set.
Let’s all head to the French Riveria for a month

Just need a 4 qtr effort. Haven't had one all year and in most games that has been the difference. Teams have dominated for a qtr and the contest is over.

Dairy Bell Ice Creams on me at 4:40 tomorrow afternoon!

Wasn't a full qtr this week, just a lapse in concentration for 8-10 minutes each qtr this week. Xavs added a few extras in junk time when the sting had gone out of the contest.

On a more positive note, one of the bigger crowds I've seen at a VAFA game in a long time - De La and Xavs always draws good numbers on a sunny winters day.

Why don't we have games anymore ?

Old Xavs depth is ridiculous. Have not fact checked this but was told their Reserves team on Saturday had 6 players who have played VFL and several others who played TAC cup. Add a few other senior quality players who would walk into many senior teams, and it is no wonder they are unbeaten with a % north of 300. Pains me to say it but I reckon Xavs 2s would have almost knocked off our seniors. They were very slick.

Their reserves have always been very strong but ultimately it does not correlate to senior success. Perhaps this year will be different given the top line talent they have in the seniors.

Interesting that their U/19 Prem side is stone motherless with just the 2 wins. Very un-Xavs like.
I feel like that is unusual, although their 2nd U19 side isn't doing great either in Div 2.

Their school sides haven't been super strong for a while though, so possibly just some weaker year levels coming through.

Old Brighton feel like they've been strong in U19's for the last few years.
