Would be a very handy player to have on the listMaybe this will trigger a Flanders chase?
He wasn’tIf Rowell was in fact the player we were after but has decided to stay then you’d think that Worpel gets done. Not saying this is what has happened but if so then you’d hope that there was a clear communication with him on the process.

Butters wants to come back next year, bulldogs most likely but only due to location, he would prefer hawks if not for dingleyIt's extremely rare for us not to be publicly linked to a high-profile player at this time of year who we eventually acquire. So far, the only ones we've been loosely connected to are Allen — which clearly isn't happening — and a vague link to Walsh. If someone like Butters was genuinely in play, it likely would’ve hit the media by now.

That seems ridiculous.Butters wants to come back next year, bulldogs most likely but only due to location, he would prefer hawks if not for dingley

Maybe by bus, but not driving.Has to decide he is happy to live in south east, it's 3 hours return now from West to dingley, it absolutely makes sense

Nah tbh I understand the logic and the difference here.Yet he previously re-signed (extended) at Port.
Weird.
What if someone paid you $1m+ for the next 7-9yrs?Nah tbh I understand the logic and the difference here.
Living in another city is very different to living in a part of your home city that doesn't feel like home.
I've been born and raised in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and I can't imagine living in the eastern suburbs, even though I head out that way for my partners family.
I would find it easier to move to Adelaide.
I think if I didn't have any other option then that would be a no brainer, but if the other option was equally as financially appealing but I could stay in an area I was more familiar with and play for the team I supported growing up....What if someone paid you $1m+ for the next 7-9yrs?
Reckon you could live out East for that & just drive to the north in your down time?
Yeah, I can understand players choosing Geelong for the lifestyle of living down the coast and let's be honest, Geelong is a super club that is always competitive and makes players better. But I can't imagine a highly professional player being offered insane money choosing a Melbourne club based on the suburb of its training venue, as opposed to the actual club, its facilities, coach, list, success prospects and outside of football opportunities etc. Might be that weighing that up a player chooses Bulldogs, but I doubt it would be because of the cheap Banh Mis in Footscray and avoiding a bit of a drive. What if someone paid you $1m+ for the next 7-9yrs?

Didn't Brian Lake travel from Caroline Springs to Mulgrave for success?I think if I didn't have any other option then that would be a no brainer, but if the other option was equally as financially appealing but I could stay in an area I was more familiar with and play for the team I supported growing up....
Have you not been to Adelaide ??I would find it easier to move to Adelaide.
Im not. Cancer on the league. I want them to be failures for another ten years so the AFL has to fold them. Nobody will cry.Happy for the Suns to have some success, I just hope that it comes POST Dimma- meaning Rowell will have to be in the twilight of his career there
