Has there been any haters of Trav ?The funny thing about Bergman is he is a HB turned mid. So all you haters of Trav, that’s what he could be or better imo.

It’s either this or we get Justin Plapp (feel dirty even typing his name). We really need to get Gruzewsi or another KPF option from the state leagues. Even get Chris Burgess as a back up. I saw he's not got a contract at the Crows yet. He's lead VFL goal kicking a few times and is a bit of solid journey man.
Are you really 160!!Yeah my age or your IQ very similar
Mail?Mail today is positive, but if NWM decides to leave, all the options are bad for us. Sure he'd ask to be traded again but the circumstances would be different in 12 months time (we'd know where PA's 2026 first has landed for starters). Would he be a FA at the end of 2026 because he had left our list only to be added to it again?
There are aspects of the system that need testing IMO. So I could understand why we would do that rather than take 45c in the dollar.
However, mail today is positive. Desperately want NWM to stay and become a Saints legend and premiership player.
Why would the AFL need to intervene in a deal this early ….that concerns if true…I've heard that the AFL have told Port that if it wanted to get NWM, Port's trade offer would need to reflect NWM's actual value and that the AFL would veto the trade if it was completely unfair.
So its multiple first rounders (from where???) or players of equal value (Butters?) and apparently Bergmann can't be part of the equation because he's coming anyway in a sperate deal.
Coffield body let him down before anything else. Do we recall him being top 5 bnf in a finals year before his ACL ?Like Coffield hey?
YesHas there been any haters of Trav ?
Stop us from our own dumb decisionsWhy would the AFL need to intervene in a deal this early ….that concerns if true…

There's absolutely zero, one poster said they hadn't seen elite traits yet and acknowledged it being far too early to make a proper opinion.Has there been any haters of Trav ?
Two other clubs I've read are interested are Dogs & Hawks, you know what they have in common? Absolutely stacked midfields… so they are looking for running defenders, something we have thrown a heap of currency around to have very good stocks. Why are so many clubs keen on him if he’s just a poor back pocket? Dangerfield can’t kick, Fyfe couldn’t really kick etc etc.
We’d be lucky to draft a player as good as Bergman. Anyway it’s obvious I view him as a better player so will agree to disagree.
If the price is fair I think we should get him and I reckon he will be much better than many are making out.
Both clubs were also balls deep in the Rowell chase so I'm not sure they both think they have stacked midfields. Two other clubs I've read are interested are Dogs & Hawks, you know what they have in common? The dogs have traded out more elite mids than we've had in 20 years, the hawks have Day, Newcombe, Worpel (who might leave for better opportunities), Ward, Nash & Cam McKenzie - we would kill for that kind of midfield depth. Both clubs were also balls deep in the Rowell chase so I'm not sure they both think they have stacked midfields.
Nah I’ve seen enough people saying we’ve drafted another HBer and saying we should have gone for mids. There's absolutely zero, one poster said they hadn't seen elite traits yet and acknowledged it being far too early to make a proper opinion.
The point I'm making is that his own club doesn't value him as a superstar of the competition.Because, if it is at all equivalent then I don’t know what point you are making.
As what would be true for Carlton would be true for us.
Do not want Walsh same same for usWalsh wont fix it either
Out injured again ... foot 3 to 4 weeks
The mids we would've wanted were gone but Trav was a HBF to be fairNah I’ve seen enough people saying we’ve drafted another HBer and saying we should have gone for mids.
Is Plappy still doing alright as a vfl coach? It’s either this or we get Justin Plapp (feel dirty even typing his name).
I agree. We aren't even close to having what they have in their midfielders. The dogs have traded out more elite mids than we've had in 20 years, the hawks have Day, Newcombe, Worpel (who might leave for better opportunities), Ward, Nash & Cam McKenzie - we would kill for that kind of midfield depth.
This is in essence why a ‘war chest’ has been accumulated - so we can afford to pay over the market price to bring high end talent through the door, as opposed to over paying the talent we already have on our list. The point I'm making is that his own club doesn't value him as a superstar of the competition.
Yet St Kilda wants to make him the highest paid player in the competition.
And even if you think Saints have say, $2.5mil carry forward "use it or lose it" due to 95% and front ended contracts, even the remaining $10mil or $9.5mil over 7 years is still a lot more than Carlton is offering their own player.
