Went down to Garvey Saturday for Paradians v Thomastown. Big win for Thommo and a dissapointing loss for Parade given the way the ladder stands.

Ops mid struggling, seem to be missing Philp on the wing, not sure if Koltyolo is up to it. More to come….

Sounds like they could do with this guy...

I’ve heard he’s an explosive player with elite footy smarts. It’s disappointing that he was under-utilised in the seniors for the rabble that is Old Paradians.

Will need a miracle. Parade have done very well here.
Parade have done really well, first season in division 2 especially after their first 5 games had an average losing margin of 75 points.
If they can achieve 5-6 wins before the end of the season, and use it as a building block for 2026, 7-9 wins will be the goal for Parade.

If they had of been able to keep S.Gilmour would they have maybe had another win or 2?
And is there any chance of him returning next season and potentially bringing a few Bergs blokes with him? I

Win of the round: Macleod who are now premiership favorites, full credit to Nick Lynch and the Macloed side, after being relegated they have attacked Division 2 as a short term visit. Pressure now back on Diamond Creek to rise to the challenge

Loss of the round: Lower Plenty, have lost their last 3 games by 1, 105 and 1 to Watsonia, St Mary's and Thomastown. They are cli ginger to 5th spot but fro. 5th down just making up numbers this year.

I reckon winner of the round is Parade. 2 games clear of relegation. A little bit more than finger nail deep analysis would detail that Diamond Creek have 10-12 best 18 missing this week. I don’t think Diamond Creek lose many credits from this result.

How was the kick to the TT forward to kick the after the siren winner. Might be the camera but looks like it went about 5m
Looks real short and without knowing the ground the whole '50' looks short from that angle so who knows.

Pretty big balls kick by the player from a pretty tight angle and a fair distance out.

Koutabears happy for you to contribute any time you like.
Yes credit to OP but for a top of the table clash going with Macleod. Is the pressure mounting down at Coventry oval?

I just have a different opinion of who the biggest winner was. The team widely fancied to get relegated just upset a team contending for finals to move 2 games clear of relegation as opposed to a top of the table clash with 1 side missing half of there best 18?

I could be wrong but Diamo were missing Searl, Randall, McPherson, McPherson, Barro, McLaughlin, Barnes, White, Griffith, Empey, Rennie and Donaldson.

Further more what I can tell Macleod only missing Darcy Hogg, Hurley & Hayden Manuel.

Saturday's win was one of the better ones I've seen in my time at the Club. It wasn't pretty, nor free-flowing, nor high-scoring, but the guys just continued to dig deep and not let the game go. They showed real character. Hats off to Marcus Nolan too. On a day we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the 2015 premiership (that he was part of), he put in a BOG performance. Just keeps on keeping on.
We've had and got our fair share of injuries, like most clubs, but those that have filled those spots have well and truly earned them
It was one to celebrate, but it's back to business now, because there's a lot of the season to play out, and we have Whittlesea and Macleod in consecutive weeks.

Bad weekend for Watsy. Long way back now.
If theres anything I know about this Watsy group is that they're always up for a challenge, and always ready to dig in when needed. With 8 games to go they are only 3 games out of the top 5, lets say they win their next two in a row and manage to sneak into the 5... who knows what can happen. Don't have to look too far to see the amount of talent they have. Although if i had to say I think St Mary's are my tip to win it, seen too many inconsistency's in Diamo and Macload's gameplan.

Obviously i don't have Watsy making the granny in my book of likely things to happen. Just trying to say with how tight the league is in the bottom six, it is really anyones game to see who can make finals and have a cinderella run. However, I do also believe the the end result on the scoreboard of each game hasn't really reflected how well Watsy has been playing. Things could change in the last 8 games :/

Not been in any game other than a 1p loss to OPs and a 1p win against LP.

Need to turn around an 85p loss to StM earlier this year this week to make staying in Div 2 within reach.

The turn around will need to be bigger than huge, yes it can happen.....

Top 4 is a lock and whomever finishes 5th is just getting an extra week on the track, and no, it will not be Watsonia, forget Cinderella, Lazarus could not make that happen.

Maybe one win at the very least if Sam had've stayed at Parade, but thats his decision.

would love to know the inconsistencies. Diamo have conceded 100 less points than the next best and Macleod have score 100 more than the next best.

St Mary's and Whittlesea definitely in contention but even still neither could get within 4 goals of Macleod and even more against Diamo with their first cracks.

Two teams miles ahead of the pack based on the first half of the year and I think Macleod are a ways off Diamo full strength too.

Credit where it's due. They were down by 1 point against Whittlesea at Whittlesea at 3/4 time. The home side then kicked 4-0 but the Saints were far from disgraced. They were also thereabouts against PH and Thommo as well.
