Great signing. His progress this year and how different he looks to last year is a testament to picking a kid, persisting with him, giving him time and continuity, and giving him the confidence to know that if he has 1 bad game he won't be dropped for Smith or Murphy.

I have been told by 1 x former Crows board member, and 1 x current staff member, that he is very settled and all indications are a long term contract will be signed. Been getting some good mail recently, as the former board member is my neighbor :)
Gonna have a beer with my neighbour tonight, I’m not telling anyone where I live, won’t have enough car spaces for all you lot 😎

Unless things change from the AFL, his contract takes him to 6 full seasons, 1 short of RFA. So if he did want to head home at the end of 3 years, a club i going to need to satisfy us in a trade so its just an extra piece of comfort we have going forward and that's assuming Dan does not sign further contract extensions

I was doing that quick math straight away too. It's a great result

Key point is it's a 3 year extension. Not 3 years from today. He was already signed through end of 2026.

He is on track to play all the games this year - then we have him for 4 more years after that (26,27,28,29). Absolutely massive.

Not just two years.....but three!!!!

I have been trying not to like Curtin, in fear of losing him.

But now stoked he has signed on. Yeah contracted players can still go. But this resigning is massive.

Out of all our draftees since 2020 he has the greatest potential.

I keep thinking how great a mid he can be with the work he is doing on the wing now.

He's looking like he will be a top #3 too.

#1 Reid looks like he will be a gun, but a temperamental one.

Not many others tracking ahead of Curtin.

#3 Walter looks worth his pick.

#5 Watson done more to now, but i would prefer Curtin for the future.

#6 Sanders looks like a decent midfielder, but not as special as Curtin.

#7 Ditto with Windsor.

Reckon we got a bargain at #8.

North took McKercher #2 & Dursma #4 ... wind them up for Tassie.
If I was doing a re-draft, based off of potential shown to date:

1: Reid
2: O’Sullivan
3: Caddy
4: Morris
5: Curtin
6: Freijah
7: Sanders
8: McKercher
9: Wilson
10: Windsor

3 years is even better than 2 years that was first reported
Any more pearls of wisdom there Scorpus? Maybe him signing is better than him not signing?😆

I thought some posters said Nicks treatment of Curtin was going to push him to leave lol. Despite Nicks being a shit game strategy coach and stubborn selector, he has done an excellent job rebuilding the culture after Collective Mind shit.
