You're advocating blissful ignorance huh?
"Everything" is a bit of a stretch isnt it?No - just not criticising everything and praising nothing.
100% agree with this. Perfect opportunity to bring in Edwards and or Draper this week. Such an obvious straight swap for Smith and Murphy, both of which should be behind Edwards and Draper in the depth chart. Our inability to rotate the squad and give guys more exposure will be one of our downfalls come later in the year when injuries and fatigue strikes. Complacency also setting in. The lack of selection integrity is infuriating.
Very frustratingWe have bugga all injuries and Murphy (and Smith) are playing yet again.
We know what these two bring to the table, we know they can't contribute and won't contribute in tbe finals.
Wouldn't it have been better to get some game time into Edwards and a couple of other youngsters.
We are now wasting a good list with a bad coach. This club is so frustrating.

I dont like what I'm seeing in how the club is treating Draper.
Nicks has his favourites, regardless of form, and Murphy is one of them.
I can see where it gets out....He has memory loss
Let's not forget that its not Murphy nor Smith's fault they are in the team. They just put their hands up for selection - so would I - and the selection panel makes their choice. The players shouldn't be the subject of public humiliation - but nothing should be held back from the selection panel and the coach.
And ....... isn't this the perfect opportunity to give Sid another go? And/or Edwards or Ryan or Bond or even to see if Jones still has it. A win here - with Smith and Murphy tells us NOTHING about the possibilities of our squad.
I think Nicks uses Carnauba wax
Never said he would call upon them thoI mean, he literally said this at the beginning of the season.
“We’re going to need the whole squad this year. It’s not just about the 22 each week—it’s about the 40-plus guys on our list being ready to step in and play their role when called upon.”

Didnt Murray Davis in his interview at the start of this week also say that the first big chat with the players returning from break was around the focus on squad mentality? Laird better not be hampered by that shoulderI mean, he literally said this at the beginning of the season.

He came in in round 4That's why it took to round 14 for Murph to be selected (+ having two others in Taylor/Pedlar given the chance first). Murph isn't a favourite. He's an indicator that our depth in the position is exhausted.
Anyway, Peatling for Pedlar was always on the cards when that sub rolled around, and even more so if fitness tests were required for Luke. Much like Taylor, puts him in a very awkward situation moving forward.

The best teams manage and rotate their squad for the entire season and make sure their depth is ready to go should they need to during finals. Wheras Nicks requires an injury to occur before he would even consider bringing the younger guys from the SANFL in.
Correct.Well, there's a reason we arent saying "Dawson's shit"...
You cant want the kids in without dropping the liabilities. So you're essentially saying the same thing, just in a nicer way.
We could be first with a better coachWhat a bunch of joyless .....
We're fourth on the ladder.
You mean the Collingwood who this year have fielded the oldest team in AFL history? Are playing a debutant who has starred at local level and kicked 6 last week? That Collingwood?Collingwood flying. Flag favourites. Playing a debutant tomorrow.
The same Collingwood that have managed their older players & used their depth. You mean the Collingwood who this year have fielded the oldest team in AFL history? Are playing a debutant who has starred at local level and kicked 6 last week? That Collingwood?
Wow they just gift games to their kids don’t they?
I would never say you were annoying Feenix, you're very knowledgeable. However, given a choice between celebration and criticism, you do have a tendency to choose the latter."Everything" is a bit of a stretch isnt it?
Those who accept everything and question nothing are pretty annoying too.
Does a hard tackle once in a blue moon..That's not so. Murphy goes in as hard as any player on our list. He's not an AFL standard footballer and there's the problem.
Reckon Reid & Ogilvie must tear their hair out in dealing with this incompetent clown we have as senior coach !100%.
Perfect opportunity against lowly Richmond to give younger players with high upside... yet pick a veteran who is past it & another who is clearly not AFL standard.
Yet another reminder why Nicks can't get the most out of this list.
Sure we will play finals this year, but he is holding back our squad.
No.. no you dont.. its the complete opposite of everything you always say on here..THIS I agree with.
