No.. no you dont.. its the complete opposite of everything you always say on here..

If you agreed with that youd never ever accept Murphy being picked.. yet you defend it and attack those who dare tp speak up agains the club.

Stop being duplicitous.
As always, you are wrong. I was not happy at all with Murphy’s inclusion. I have NEVER defended his selection.

You mean the Collingwood who this year have fielded the oldest team in AFL history? Are playing a debutant who has starred at local level and kicked 6 last week? That Collingwood?

Wow they just gift games to their kids don’t they?

The Collingwood who won a flag two years ago, are probably going to win one again, and is still debuting kids when they're playing well.

Yeah. That Collingwood.

Let's not forget that its not Murphy nor Smith's fault they are in the team. They just put their hands up for selection - so would I - and the selection panel makes their choice. The players shouldn't be the subject of public humiliation - but nothing should be held back from the selection panel and the coach.

This is said a lot but I think it only partially captures the situation.

It's the coaches fault for selecting Murphy

But Murphy is responsible for being bad at football. That is his fault and it's fair to criticize him for it.

The same Collingwood that have managed their older players & used their depth.
It’s incredibly brave of the Magpies to debut a Kid, at home, against the bottom team.

This week they are only playing NINE 30+ year old players.

The Crows, on the other hand, are playing an unprecedented THREE players 30 years plus.

This is against the Tiger Cubs filled with Kids. Oh yeah and SIX players 30+ years.

I mean, he literally said this at the beginning of the season.

“We’re going to need the whole squad this year. It’s not just about the 22 each week—it’s about the 40-plus guys on our list being ready to step in and play their role when called upon.”
That's just something you say

Like when he said we'll have a look at the conditions and opposition before finalising our line up

Words

Are you actually capable of posting anything other than a whinge?
God forbid we actually want our team to contend and not just be ok during the minor round, but when issues arrive such injuries that we don’t have people to turn to because we’ve stuck with the same players that let us down time and time again.
I'd argue we got to 9-4 primarily on the back of NOT.playing the smiths, murphy's and crouch's (injured i know). So what does nicks do?..plays the smiths, murphy's and if he was fit, i'd bank that crouch would be in there in lieu of Draper, taylor and the unlucky Dowling. We won't lose this week but play a decent side and we likely will when we keep going back to players that are clearly past it or not up to it at the expense of the youth and future of the club who helped get us to...9-4..go figure

That's why it took to round 14 for Murph to be selected (+ having two others in Taylor/Pedlar given the chance first). Murph isn't a favourite. He's an indicator that our depth in the position is exhausted.

Anyway, Peatling for Pedlar was always on the cards when that sub rolled around, and even more so if fitness tests were required for Luke. Much like Taylor, puts him in a very awkward situation moving forward.
Lol. He didn't deserve to come in, played stink average and gets to stay in the side when you have players like Draper who are the future not getting a game.
Nicks has stuck fat with him for many years.

It's amazing how Murphy can creep his way back into the 22 each year. Just when you think he's no longer a chance and we're doing well with injuries, there he is.
This is my concern

ANB, Peatling and Cummins join us and force out Murphy

As it should be

But he is back in with all 3 playing

Confusing because he had little to no impact to warrant selection

It's seems to have turned into Murphy, Pedlar, Taylor in a fight for the same position right now
