I think it’s more that we all know what’s coming, like watching a car crash in slow motion. Just another cycle in the predictable pattern of hope beyond hope that we have finally turned the corner after a win, only for the players to come out the next week and somehow plumb new depths of shitness.

Phillips will be in for wardlaw

Comben will be in for McDonald and we play 4 key backs- no idea how it works but we have nobody else in defensive spots and the club will not be playing Kal Dawson again.

Coleman jones plays for darling. Didn’t play VFL so will be fresh and will be 2nd forward and pinch hit ruck. Darling vs Essendon off a 5 day break was a disaster.

Scott plays for Fos, probably the best person to come in off a 5 day break due to his fitness.

Hansen Jr full game for fisher.

Cant imagine them playing Duursma off a 5 day break or Banch/George.

How many times do we need to do the win -- shithouse loss/streak of shithouse losses routine? At this point, we can set our watches to it

Cooper Harvey has been playing half back correct…. We have Daniel and Mckercher playing that role. Last thing we need is another defender to come in who doesn’t defend.

Unless they move Mckercher or Daniel up the field, Harvey won’t be in.

i see him as a good matchup for rhylee west if lmac misses
strong enough and can matchup aerially and then hurt him on rebound

Expecting plenty of changes, but with the plethora of injuries/poor form, any chance of a debut or maybe even 2 to generate a bit of positive energy and excitement, Banch and Payne the obvious candidates ?

Since Good Friday, our list has:

• Nearly won against top tier teams
• kept nearly all of them to under 80 points - - Improved most of our KPI (tackles, i50, clearances) to the top 3 of the comp
• A lot of our players have blown our expectations out the water in that period of time (Stephens, Colby etc)
• First time in years we came back in 4th quarters and shown shinboner spirit (never gave up)
• Fixed issues of i50, first quarters etc as we went

And a lot more. It has little to do with pur list, they have already shown recently they have the ability to play well.

But all of that above collapsed because it's all between the ears. The 4th quarter against Carlton exposed how mentally weak we are we cant even put the foot on the throat. We are all bunch of scardey cats that we feared a 50 point lead wouldn't be good enough. And we didn't score and nearly lost. That destroyed all the good work because in our minds no matter what we can lose and the loss of confidence seeped into the hawks game. Our mental strength cant handle criticism nor praise at all.

Championship competitiveness is fleeting for us, it's not entrenched in us. We are soft as butter and Clarko is trying to change that but the behaviour around him doesn't help.

We need cutthroat people at our club and evidence says we respond when its like that.

What else is the point of this forum other than to put forth opinions (regardless of how cooked they may be) and engage in discussion? It's certainly more constructive than popping up every other week to take vague cheap shots at other posters.

Phillips, Scott, Duursma, Harvey have to be chances of getting games. CCJ and Finnbar as well.

I think you're underestimating Rhylee West. He's no slouch.
