Can't see how a deal gets done now if Bergman is staying. We don't really have anything to trade. Maybe a future 1st and Drew but I can't see St.Kilda agreeing to that and not sure we would be keen on pushing Drew out either as he seems to be a great clubman. Ollie Lord probably not worth much right now so can't see him moving the needle either.
Maybe they'd ask the question on Visentini, but not sure I'd be selling him, as good as Nasiah is I think Dante is more important to our list right now.
Honestly, NWM is not really much of a need for us at the moment.

If Saints don't get TDK and need a ruckman then port should still consider Vis if that gets nwm and keeler who can play forward ruck role. They'd keep soldo until his contract expires 2026. Players possibly for Saints that came from that area and ties as in from Sandringham are Vis, Drew came from a Saints vfl side but drewy is a port man.. although he's going to find it hard to keep in the 22 as his role with others pushing him out if he can't stay up to their level, e.g. bergs now. Also, Lai, hasn't played AFL yet but he came from that area and also lord came from Sandringham too.. Could look at Lorenz too although that could be Hawks depending on if he can even get in the side with others there.

Maybe Port don't want Keeler though and could be why nwm stays at Saints as they are close but that would be stupid not to grab keeler and bring him to port.

We would not overpay picks get it done but I suspect our cap is the issue.
Been told there's absolutely no issues with our cap. Can fit Rozee, Butters, Bergman, JHF, NWM without any worries. We'll free up a lot of space at the end of the year too. Some of our mid priced players will either be delisted or on significantly lower coin. On top of that the cap has increased comp-wide.

So our only issue in getting NWM is the picks we give up

I think this is similar to when Luko re signed at Gold Coast. Likely we just continue to monitor Nasiah and look at getting him home again in a couple of years when the situation changes.

I would love him at Port, but Miles and an F1 was always a price too high. Hopefully we can do a more favourable deal in 2027.

NWM is out of contract and now it just comes down to compensation for the Saints for him leaving.

Ok a future first and something?

Another future first and something back?
Saints being the Saints our 2027 first and their 2027 second round pick may not have that much between them as a swap?

That depends on the Dougie outcome of course and future targets in mind.

Bottom line is we can do a deal and the Saints won’t like it but it will get done.

Why do people keep saying Lachie Jones is a reason not to need NWM? The fact that Lachie Jones is in our side giving up multiple goals per game with his errors while offering next to nothing the other way is if anything all the more reason we would benefit from NWM.

Because we already have our mustache quota filled by Lachie - NWM's mustache would be a massive downgrade.

Lachie Jones is okay defensively but his fumbles do my head in. It's all well and good against Carlton who offered little to no pressure, against a Collingwood for example in a high stakes game it stands out like dogsballs and costs us.
He’s the type of player you don’t want playing in your team in a final.

Hopefully with Esava playing much more stable down back, hopefully some of it rubs off on Lachie.

Dude continually goes on about how great Malbun is. His delusions are eternal.
Whats with you and the Adelaide vs Melbourne dick measuring contest? Nobody knows what Adelaide is outside this county. I don't live in melbun anyway

Bergman is just testing the waters with Carr and if we bottom out, which we will, he's gone otherwise he would have signed the monster 7 year deal off the bat. Let's be honest.
