Starts at half time… Viccars (WB) is bowled over at a stoppage… targeted yes but was a very tame bump… he goes down like he’s been machine gunned and a melee kicks off.

I would suggest #5 for Heathmont is very lucky… given a yellow card and refused to leave the ground… even does a bit of foot stamping, come at me bro 😂 what a w***er.

Anyway Viccars kicks the game winner so has the last laugh.

Was just looking at the tribunal listing and the Heathmont player who bumped Viccars got two weeks! Staggering, it was a fairly soft bump. When you see some of the stuff that happens out there.

Heard a rumour that the Lilydale coach jumped before he was pushed and that they already had a new coach lined up.

Appointing a new external coach just a couple of days after the resignation certainly backs up that rumour.
From an outsider point of view it seems to be bad form considering it’s his first year at the club.

Anyone with footy knowledge knows that game styles and structures don’t just magically happen in one pre-season.

Any reasons or ideas why he was pushed out the door?? I don’t think anyone expected lilydale to finish with more than 5-6 wins at the most? Or am I wrong and internally were they expecting a top 1-5 finish?
and it just so happens they have a replacement already ....this was orchestrated in the bye round back in June.

Who is the replacement? Are you insinuating player driven or assistant coaches/committee knifing?
Mark Sandilands who is very well credentialled. My observation of previous coach is that he was just looking to argue with people on principle. Footy nous is probably OK but club was getting tired of having to clean up behind him.

Clean up behind him in what sense??
Was it done so close to the clearance deadline so players couldn’t leave or irrelevant and it was just time?

Sandilands resigned from assistant coach from Upwey around the 22nd of June or thereabouts. So I dare say the Lilydale gig has been in the works with Sandilands for a while

This has been on the cards for a few weeks. The way he spoke (Yelled) at players during breaks in play was not acceptable in these times. It is hard enough getting players to play without abusing them continually.

He started in their U17's. Still could only be around 40 or so games as a junior.
It’s a historic thing. Previously mully was fed out of the Waverley junior comp most of which is now dead. Mully have always been a ‘senior’ club which when I can first remember was 1s and 18s at the ‘home’ ground and 16s and 2s at the other ground. Mulgrave 16s initially wore the South Melbourne jumper of northvale, a junior feeder set up by mulgrave fc parents.
I remember when I got there in 17s it was like a Wjfa rep side - blokes from
Northvale, Brentwood (now gone), rovers, glen hawks and panthers.
Seaweed Richards is a couple of years older than me and it’s a fantastic effort. Good luck to the little fella!
Never wanted to be in the shower with him either…

Bit of ball tampering hansie?

Two Forfeit's in the Under 19's last weekend that's worrying
EB and Croydon
This must be a worry for your club Bunk only 3 wins in 19's and 3 wins in the seniors for the season obviously lots of injuries i presume. How's the new surface holding up so far?

Ha not my club mate

But agree U19s forfeits suck

This week Templestowe play Ringwood and WS play Lilydale. Both will win.

And Surrey play Mulgrave and should win too.

That would put a three-game gap between Surrey in third and Mulgrave in fourth with five games left - that’s the double chance sewn up with five games left.

Unless Mulgrave can pull off an upset, it’s a 3 horse race.

Looks like the only thing that could stop Templestowe at this stage is injuries. Their reserves team are 8th which is strange, don't normally see such a dominant Senior side with weak reserves.

They have high player points in the seniors, their reserves are poor and they don’t have Under 19s. So the model they have is pretty clear and not a strong one.

They have Auskick and juniors in U9, U11 and U15. So they can keep building for the future.

Bulleen Temp is a far bigger junior club with boys and girls from U8 to U16. So the future is interesting given those kids will now be able to come thru to their own EFNL club. But why would anybody worry about an existing club when we can bring in a new one??

Templestowe are the strongest financial club in the division and in a similar situation to South Belgrave in recent years. Then there's a lot of daylight between them and the second best (possibly Ringwood or Heathmont). They belong in Division 1.

So bulleen shouldnt of been allowed in because there junior club is big an templestowe instead of building there own juniors perfer to take bulleens juniors?

In general though the non school
Based clubs are leaving the vafa.
