I'd personally not have brought in Pitto for a couple of reasons;
1. Let TDK do his thing - if he's leaving then earn the massive paycheque either way
2. If TDK doesn't do great for the remainder of the year than perhaps the Saints offers and other clubs offers for him may drop to a ball-park we can compete with and match and to our expectations
3. Keep Pitto working in the VFL to help accelerate and work with some of the younger mids, if TDK goes then he'll have developed some further rapport with a few we hope to start stepping up next year.

Would've like to keep Cincotta in and change his role a bit.

Season ending and Voss being sacked can't happen quick enough
I've said my instinct is telling me he will not be sacked. But if he is don't think it'll be till after the Brisbane game next week, reasoning due to the first Robert Walls medal game and Voss is a nice link between Wallsy, Brisbane and Carlton as Wallsy was Voss' first coach and coached him in his first final.

No way Cerra is playing half-back. We got too many players on the bench who play defense.
Insanity. An out of sorts Cripps and Acres with a few plugins. Our only reliable midfielders will be Hewett and a still raw Lord.

I'd like to see Williams thrown in 80% into the middle because that's what we recruited him for and if he does another soft tissue than so be it.

Charlie is going to have Maynard, Moore and Howe to compete with; cannot see our small assortment of midfielders up forward kicking anything that resembles a competitive score.

Even if we hold them defensively, we just don’t have the capability up forward to challenge them (or anyone really).

I'm not upset with the ins, Evans isn't AFL standard but he's earned his spot.

My frustration is with the outs, I know we have a couple of injuries as well, but where's the statement? Has Vossy ever, ever made a statement at selection? Even Goodwin dropped Lever the other week.
Spot on, for selection integrity he has earned a recall with exceptional form in the 2s.. Would have liked to see Durdin who has been good replace Fogarty who has been atrocious, but 6 changes in 1 week is probably enough.

Yeah, do it now!
We'll get a jump on em.
By the time they work out the game's started we should be way too far in front 😁
We’d kick it out on the full with the first forward thrust and have to wait until 7:21pm for them to kick it back in.

Far out they're 3 years older on average and could be more if the Bottom was in. Why when we play our oldest line-up (cough cough last week) we're bad, whereas Geelong and Pies exhume their players from the dead they just do well.

Winners can milk every last drop out of their list, whereas losers need to plan for the future.

Every professional, semi professional, grade setup I've been part of - cracking into the top team was intentionally hard. Despite what the performance of the top team was. You really had to do more than earn it BUT the caveat was that when you did crack your way in you'd basically get given a block - depends on the club - of 3-5 games uninterrupted to acclimatise reduce pressure a bit and show WHY you've earned your spot.

We did that with Campo - but everyother young rookie gets yo-yod like a bad English football club flipping from EPL to championship and back again each season.

It's really bad - shows lack of planning around development and team identity....

Confuses me a lot looking in.. anyway.

Pitto to kick 7

Totally agree with you, but that horse bolted a fair while ago, no use doing it now when his papers are stamped

Wilson had 5 possessions last week. Hardly a debut to read about.

He had 7 not 5, but it's much more that he earned a spot in the team, played a game where the whole team put in a shocker, and then gets dropped.

If a player earns their spot in the team for a debut, they should be given the opportunity to acclimatise to the standard.
What benefit is there in giving him a single game?

We are not winning a flag anytime soon so what is the point in playing Doc, Evans and Fantasia instead of getting games into kids.
Great point!

Doc should just announce retirement now to allow the young ones coming through more opportunity.

Our worst nightmare if he got another contract for next year

Maybe we could play Fog more in the midfiled for thr remainder of the year. He played his junior footy there & let's be honest he's not quick & can't kick so he's offering us nothing in the forward half other there defensive pressure.

I really feel for Wilson.
It's a really bad time for a young player to start his career here at the moment.
Giving a young player a block of games to get acclimatised indicates some sort of plan, and I think Voss is literally coaching week to week right now, feverishly pulling any lever he can to somehow get a win.
If the club would give him a definitive answer either way for next year, he could actually think about something other than coaching for his life.

True. But if Pitto kicks 7 I'd be offering him 1.7mil

It's really crazy isn't it. Leave Acres in all season who's performed well below his usual self and even worse disposal wise than his already bad self. Add to that a whole host of other non-performers who havn't strung together at least a couple of decent outcomes that some of the VFL kids have done in the VFL and should at least get a couple games of credits. I'd take 5-10 disposals of Wilson over 20 of Acres at present for example.

Lemmy competes.

You raised aggression. That isn't Curnow.
Curnow isnt lynch or zurhaar but he wrestled 2 port players held them out of the play and we goaled. Lemmey deserves a block of afl games but I have watched him all season and he has had very weak opponents, plenty of joe the gooses and would be preferable to see him play well against a genuine kpd as he at times gives the impression of lacking physicality.

I'm wearing my Humour Hat tonight

I need to find me Blues receiving a whopping by Collingwood as Hilarious ... Crazy I know.

I figure havin a larf is better than filling a bucket with tears.

Oh ... did I mention ... I'll be praying to the footy Gods for a miracle.

Fun times.... Oh ... and GO BLUES! :carlton:
