Lockdown small defenders aren't even really a thing at lower levels. Just some half backs are more accountable then others.

If we can't get a big name, I'd be looking to get Jeremy Howe out of Collingwood. Perfect intercepting third tall with sublime skill. Would take the Coffield/Cleary role until Jaques is ready. Would also weaken a Premiership contending rival.

Only on one year deals at the Pies. Offer him two and massively front load the first year. Could be our Brian Lake/Hawthorn moment...

I go all in and get May and Lever on the cheap,them helping us snag a couple of flags as the carrot for them. I know most dont like em cause of 2021, but who cares if it tops us for success

In hindsight yes but Sanders would’ve been a pretty illogical decision. They had already drafted Sheezel, Wardlaw & McKercher in recent years and IIRC the general perception was that they had already drafted too many mids.

I can also guarantee that Watson would look reasonably horrible at North. It’s a incredibly difficult role to play in a terrible team.

Curtis seems to be doing ok

It all comes back to where you have grown up. Most of us have probably grown up in the west so we prefer it. But if your friends and family are from the east or south you would prefer the other side of town.

It would be nice if more afl quality footballers came from the west. The declining wrfl, lack of private schools and consistently poor western jets is the biggest issue in regard to location.

I grew up until early 30's in footscray then scumshine most of my life then Werribee and then moved to the Sth East. All my large family are still based in the west, but id never move over to that side of the bridge again. Everytime I go visit family I cringe going into the area.

Presume they would just match a free agency bid and force a trade next year in anycase.

I reckon it would take 3 first rounders (2025-2027) for Butters plus steak knives (late picks for F/S) to extract him this year.

It will cost that next year too, but they'll end up with some picks in the Tasmania draft.

Unless they finish low and get a very low compensation pick and take that.

I was wrong about Busslinger leaving but at the time the eagles threw the kitchen sink at him and people at the eagles were saying it was done
