With Murphy jumping maniacally into everyone's back, I'm surprised we don't have more injuries.

I only realised that he was playing when he appeared on my screen just before halftime. I really liked his one-on five effort to take the mark and goal, but hated his disposal effort out of defence that cost a goal in the last. Admittedly, the latter was not just his fault.

Have him get fitness for couple weeks leading into the grand final, bring him back fresh, 5 goals and BOG in the win!

And watching a little closer yesterday it's fair to say I've under estimated just how good May is. His ability to read the play and his timing is a little freakish

We certainly did on occasion, but May on replay looked better than live. There were a couple of occasions where our kick was headed right for TT, but May actually did intercept very well. (I don't regard us kicking straight to May as an intercept.)

We tried to put Tex on him and times and then most times Tex did some good body work on him to take him out of a play they called it a free.

We certainly did on occasion, but May on replay looked better than live. There were a couple of occasions where our kick was headed right for TT, but May actually did intercept very well. (I don't regard us kicking straight to May as an intercept.)

This is where we need our forwards to be stronger. They're going for the over the back stuff, so the defenders just need to hold us out of a contest and someone like May is free to float into the hole it creates. Dees were pushing Gawn down back to help with that as well.

At the very worst they need to make that a contest so the oppo doesn't get an easy intercept mark.

What was up with Filthy today?

May is an excellent defender but is slow, you need to get him on the move but Thilthorpe continue to played from behind, all the forwards played from behind so this was clearly the instruction.

As others have pointed out with Cumming, he's defending the dead side of the play most of the time he's out there, it's not really a role designed to get touches.

You watch him live at the game and he spends huge periods of time like 20-30m away from where the ball is.

I thought he was decent yesterday, gets back to support quite often.
