One thing I've liked about selections this year is that when they have brought someone into the team, they have stuck with them for a number of weeks.
Unfortunately, none have really grasped their opportunity yet
Yeah - Berry and Butts are probably the only exceptions so far

Pedlar getting a corked quad was unfortunate for him

What's Pedlar done in his chances so far this year ??
Pedlar is tracking at an average of 7 disposals, 2 marks, 4 tackles and 1 goal compared to wonder boy Kai Lohman of the Lions at an average of 8 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles and 0.6 goals.

Pedlar, smaller sample size, but he did a bit when he was in the side

Extremely tall forward line with Cook not being a sub
Also, Bullies didn't bring in the extra tall defender.

Wouldn't surprise if Khamis comes in as a late change.

Really surprised at the general acceptance of Jones being named considering the flogging he’s copped on here over the years and surprised that Smith has been dropped as he’s been pretty good in the last few weeks but not fussed.
Pedlar I can understand not being selected as he’s injury prone and only just returned from one, selectors would probably like to see a good block of games together before picking him. Really thought Nank would get a run.

I've always had a soft spot for Chayce and think more than anything he's been really poorly developed. He's got all of the attributes to make a first 22 footballer imo, so would love to see him make the most of this opp (though he MUST be given good midfield time to showcase his progress).

Ironically the best game I reckon he's played for us was from years ago in against the Dogs (in Ballarat). He was awesome that day, and gave a real insight into the player he could have (and hopefully might still) be.

Were obviously not poorly coached. The defense is humming, the forwards work very well together, and the midfield rotations have kept evolving through the year. None of this has happened by accident.

Our depth would be some of the best in the league. We now have senior bodies on every line who can step straight in.

I think we're short a premium mid, but we're now not missing much.
Nicks is not a good coach tactically.

We also make poor selections.

As far as depth goes you can throw a blanket over a number of average players. Many have regressed, in some instances they have been given a lot of games.

There’s no next wave of players outside the current lineup that are progressing.

Jones has moved to a midfield role in the SANFL the last few weeks. His tackling + clearance work last week was pretty good and looked fit. His one chance was to develop in the middle as half back and wing positions were taken.

i don’t think this is a new dawn but we can only hope he gets get 32 possessions 8 clearances and 3 goals, that’s my minimum expectation.
