I like him, but Taylor was pretty bad. Horrible kick on the back flank (turn over goal I think) and dropped that mark where TT centred it. Barely did anything else aside from the goal. Was really hoping he would take more of his opportunity. Glad we've persisted for more than one game. Let's hope at least one of he and cook can take advantage of their selection. The more high skilled players the better

Agreed

I fear though, that he's not an AFL standard half forward/winger. Its a hard role to play at AFL level.

He had a disappointing game for sure. The talent is there I think he just needs to adapt to the level. I'm glad they kept him in. Probably best as sub at this stage.

A few brain fades. Might also be a bit of panic knowing he needed to do something to keep a spot. Dunno, even Tex (our smartest player) can do dumb things.

But watch him live his positioning and ability to get into good spots is very good.

He just has no ability to make an impact at the contest due to his lack of athletes and skills.

We needed him a few years ago, even Keays played midfield back then. But now he should be delisted.

Make him SANFL captain...

Would win a Magarey medal at another SANFL club. He is basically Mitch Grigg.

I've always had a soft spot for Chayce and think more than anything he's been really poorly developed. He's got all of the attributes to make a first 22 footballer imo, so would love to see him make the most of this opp (though he MUST be given good midfield time to showcase his progress).

Ironically the best game I reckon he's played for us was from years ago in against the Dogs (in Ballarat). He was awesome that day, and gave a real insight into the player he could have (and hopefully might still) be.
I don't know why he isn't... just better.

Fast, hard at it, tackles well, kicks well, good set shot. Can't seem to be effective, or at least not consistently.

Similar story for Cooky as well actually. Looks the goods, has had some good games, but not consistent.

Imagine if they both sort themeselves out. Could be absolute weapons.

Worth noting that Nick Murray is seemingly not close to selection, not even in as an emergency. He got 20 touches in the SANFL last week but Butts has been too good to dislodge at this stage. Excellent issue to have.
Gotta give Jordan some kudos for that.

Honestly thought he was going to struggle to get a game (and I guess he did get in because of injury), but geez he's looked good out there.

At least that would help with the dodgy umpiring.
Assuming we did get Daicos in the team, what do you reckon would happen?

How would the umpires reconcile rolling out the red carpet for him with trying to bend us over?

The media too?

Would this create just such a sense of cognitive dissonance that we'd literally see their heads explode, and have to call off the games? Would the media talking heads just descend into a drooling mess, staring blankly into the camera for an hour?

I'm super keen for this weirdo timeline to happen. Time for a godfather offer. 3m for one season. Let's finally use that Tippet war chest.

That was his last game before Matthew Nicks took over. He actually looked quite promising in that first season

He had his chance, albeit a small one, and fluffed it.

I think he NEEDS to be 100% fit to play his style at AFL level.
Reminds me of McAdam - all be it different mindset - but if he cant stay on the park then why continue?

And I love Pedlar

Gotta love that Davos-optimism ... :thumbsupv1: ... all, off a wing or as a mid?
Sub :D

As long as Chayce can get more than 3 touches, provide a bit of contest and run, lay a few tackles and not murder his team mates aerially I am happy.

Same as Cook, get dangerous running the channels up and down the ground and were are happy.
