Having a healthy list makes so much difference....we would kill to only have 2 on the injury list. Lions having 18 AFL listed players in this side is something we can only dream of.
Could you imagine adding JSOS, Young, Saad and Newy to the back half today coming back from injury....Jagga, Cottrell and Walsh in the midfield....and Elijah, Harry and Kemp up forward.
Anyway, another good effort from the kids....just outclassed. Lions have some good kids coming through.
Positives were Billy at half back who was enormous. Monahan improving by the week, actually looks an AFL player now. Lemmey presenting well, liked his game. Evans did enough to get another recall so he can get dropped the following week.
VFL listed players: love Hoggy, chip off the old block. Ethan Phillips was easily our best player, the general down back. Too good not to be on an AFL list imo.

Wilson- it is only fitness. He cramped up at 3/4 time in the afl and couldn't run out the game

Yeah+ a fresh group of players.
I wouldn't call anyone in the senior side 'fit'. They're fit enough to play but none of them are really 'fit' fatigue etc is just too high

Lots of comments praising Lemmey - but no detail on what he actually did - anyone got a little more detail?
IMO he's much like Harry, good contested mark, pretty good set shot and quite good field kick.
I think while Harry is out, Lemmey can easily play 1-2 up the ground with Charlie.

Blake a Blue for another two
Blake Acres has re-signed for another two years at IKON Park.
I think Melbourne is the perfect game to bring him in along with Wilson.
Gut feel is that Charlie and Lemmey will work well together.
Nothing in particular but 3 goals is 3 goals.
Did his role so to speak so more a case of if he was under consideration he wouldn't have harmed his chances.
