The battle for top 4/top 8

The battle for top 4 and top 8 is really heating up this year.

There could conceivably be 7 teams (3rd to 9th) all on 11 wins and 6 losses by the end of this round.

So who makes top 4? and which team of the very strong top 9 will be the unlucky 9th this year?

Dockers will claim 9th spot with 13 or even 14 wins .

Dogs could finish 4th with a win today against Adelaide (most likely by percentage) as the draw is good outside of Brisbane at the Gabba from here.

But then again, it is the Dogs. Could drop one dumb one.

Definitely 5-6 again minimum.

Adelaide now more-likely-than-not for top 4.

Still think we could slide with our run home, so long as one of Hawthorn or GCS are sharp enough to capitalise.

Actually 2 losses to Sydney. I didn't watch one minute of the swans vs dockers game last week. I had no faith in Freo at the SCG.

Also... Swans also beat Freo in round 2. Half of the swans best 23 was out. Joel Amartey got a Mark over Brennan Cox late in the game and got the set shot goal to get the lead

There was another thread on who would be better in 2025 between dogs and dockers.

I predicted dogs will get that spot between 5th to 8th.

Freo will sadly finish 9th.
