No Port rate him and are still thinking he makes it.

That said if he were to average 3 goals a game for the rest of the season it could work.

Lord and ….
Delusional from the club then (although could be thqt the club is holding that opinion so that if a club comes calling for him end of the year then we have some leverage rather than giving him away for the last pick).

Lord isn't making it at AFL level under the current Port Adelaide coaching regime that cannot develop tall forwards when one doesn't have an already high natural talent.

Whilst I understand that you have an inside word Intel what the club thinks re list management

That doesn't make those decisions correct

I know it doesn't - and I would personally like to see him have a decent crack this off-season training as a KPF, hopefully with no injuries.

But let's also call a spade a spade and acknowledge that outside of one game nearly two years, he's been pretty much invisible on the field, and one could suggest he's even regressed.

If a team offered a 2nd round pick for him I'd take it without question on the proviso that the pick was on-sold in a package for NWM.

You only need to watch Neale, Dear and Morris and how well developed and dangerous they are as early career tall forwards, to realise that Lord is a long, long way behind.

Let me put it to you like this:

The Club thought so highly of his prospects as a KPF that he trained solely as a ruck all of this past off-season/pre-season.

He's lucky he's got a contract for next year because otherwise there would be a serious discussion surrounding his future at the Club, and it might even happen if another club shows interest in him during this upcoming trade period.

That's poor list management considering that we can't decide which of our three rucks are the number 1 and we have two "third-tall" types as KPFs.

Lord as a ruck is a completely baffling idea.

Can we get back to our dream of NWM.... I wonder if this was a year out and why we bent over with Houston trade?
Perhaps there's a faint hope one will finally land in our favour having been so generous at the trade table last year. But I doubt it.

Seems more like if they thought this trade was likely in 2025, that'd have been even more reason to fight for more compensation for a contracted Houston. Keeping our first round pick this year, or having obtained another one, would sure make this a lot easier.

That's okay, they showed on 9 sport how they are working with Wines, yes Wines to go in ruck instead of trying Soldo. I know he has been very down on form but surely a better option than Ollie, they won't be happy until Wines gets injured jumping against bigger opponents, he's 30 years old.

They showed Lobbe working with wines simulating center bounces.

I wonder if he looks at us and sees a horribly overweight and unfit Rioli barely jogging around and think yeah nah maybe st Kilda isn’t that bad and are more professional.

Or after the vile racist abuse Nas and Jase Burgoyne copped last night, maybe he sees a player who has been through similar :poo: being supported by his club through difficult times.

Port Adelaide and St Kilda have both reported the abuse to the AFL.
