In the period where we havn't won a final, I've only missed two games (not counting Covid) - Round one 2010, and a Marvel Stadium match versus Adelaide in 2007.

I do wonder why I bother sometimes. Think of what I could have done with all the money I've poured into the club.

This is what true supporters do though. Kudos

Got an estimate on how much that would be? (Membership, travel, food at game etc).

And yes, even though I have hated Carlton over the years, I do feel sorry for their fans. They, like Essendon, have no say on how the club is run or coached or who is recruited. They just support a team in what is supposed to be a competition, evened out by the draft and salary cap. So to not see your team do anything for an entire generation is actually pretty heartbreaking when you put your heart and soul into it as a supporter every week. I'd love to see the Blues back up there playing some big games against the Dons like in the 90's. I think the competition would be better for it.

I try to get to one away game a year. This year that was supposed to be opening round, but it was cancelled, so I got a voucher from Jetstar (they wouldn't refund). I might go up for the last game (not that I care about the dead rubber) and mix in a day at Movieworld just so the voucher doesn't go to waste.

I'm a bit of a tight-ass with food and I normally bring my own, but in terms of membership, reserved seat bookings, one travel game per year, and a bit of food here and there I'd guess around $33,000 over the 22 years from 2004-2025.

Got some good value in the years before 2004 though.

I feel sympathy for all the Victorian clubs because of the arduous amount of travelling they have to undertake each season.
I agree 💯 👍.

I feel sorry for Richmond fans walking from Punt road oval to the MCG. That's only a 400 metre walk. LoL

Then you got that travel requirements from Punt road oval to Spencer Street to get to Docklands LoL

Very hard for their supporters given their clubs have been so poorly run with hope limited

I genuinely feel for them. It's been 20 years now while irrelevant. Supporters deserve better

Thank you. Wasn’t sure the best way to express my deep sadness over their current plight, but this addresses it quite delicately.

The irony is that all of our problems can be traced exactly to Neagle playing on in the 3rd quarter of that 2010 game ;)

I do feel sorry for their younger fans. You'd have to be at least in your 40s or 30s to properly appreciate the flags they won as a supporter. But when they beat up on us, the fact they've been in the wilderness since Adam was a boy (yes, the joke is he wasn't) does console me a bit.

They’re not a real club.

Freo are just there for League marketing purposes. Ken’s boys the same.
Do some research pal
There is more heart and soul in Fremantle football history than most of these so called clubs

My dad was a founding member of the club
Helped raise the money by approaching small businesses around Freo to get them started

Grass roots club
How many do you get to your games most weeks ?
Just coz it’s old don’t mean it’s great
