The thing that everyone should realise about Harley is that he is most unhappy at WC, so he is not invested. When he comes back to Victoria, no matter which club that is, he will become the superstar that should be, he just needs to be in a better head space, which he is not in right now. And if he was to come into our program, he would be amazing. Can't see him excelling at Essendon or Carlton TBH.

I can’t buy in to this rhetoric. If he’s not professional enough to put in 100% at West Coast there’s no guarantee he’s going to be professional enough to do it elsewhere.

A close mate of mine’s brother is really good mates with Langford. He’s seriously considering moving to North Melbourne. This has already been reported on that senior players are unhappy with the fitness stuff and the club at the moment.

The kicker? He let slip that Merrett met with Collingwood about a month ago. We probably can’t afford him and I don’t think he’ll leave, but it sounds like Essendon players are there for the taking.

Zerrett would be a dream but he's the Essendon version of Crippa, has too much pride for that team to leave, although he only has two years left on his deal.

Tsatas could be a cheap midfield get for a bit of upside, only getting a game due to their midfield logjam when healthy

The rest of their big names have way too much injury issues and have albatross contracts

Yep that’s how I read it. I think he’s being smart and listening to pitches from clubs but can’t see it happening.

The only way we could nab Merrett is that if he specifically requested to come to us.

I usually take the "he can't kick" with a grain of salt but this guy genuinely can't kick

Think we need to trade for someone like lever to replace howe, would allow us to remain competitive and give us more time to draft and develop our future kpd.

It is not a coincidence in both of our losses against gc and geelong we had howe missing all or large parts of it. Our defense is very reliant on him covering our gaps defensively.

Without knowing their contract statuses but just thinking of the type of player I’d like to see, if we could get their bodies right Ridley or Z Reid would be amazing.

Nate Caddy would be the one, but there's no chance of us winkling him out of Essendon.

I cant believe Essendon and Carlton look like holding hands again and doing their 4th or 5th rebuild this century. Their like 2 BFFs at a nightclub going to toilet together for no reason
