Originally was planning on holding Rozee as McCarthy is good D7 cover.

But now that JHF is not an option, leaning towards

Rozee --> Whitfield
Xerri --> Grundy
(leaves me with $0)

Means that I field May as cover for Martin this week and hopefully do a down/up move on Martin next week.
Otherwise to get Grundy I'd have to do Martin to Rankine. Or if I wanted a decent forward like Macrae, I'd be taking Meek for Xerri.

Going Xerri > Grundy for both trades, would you go

Rozee > Whitfield and hold Martin and field May for the week
or
Martin > Pickett/Warner and hold Rozee and field McCarthy for the week
I have the feeling that option 2 might give you more points on ground this week.

Sounds like Rozee is a one weeker and Warner has the opportunity of going large against the Roos. McCarthy should score ok against my mob. Martin needs to be dealt with ASAP as there could easily be more carnage next week compounding things.

I'm lucky to have only Rozee and Xerri to deal with (a good reflection on how poor my team is) who'll be going to Whit & Grundy

Like the look of GC's run home so I'm bringing them in.

Couldn't afford Grundy without going sub 800k for a Martin replacement.

Gonna have to hold Rozee for the week and hope one of my bench midfielders plays a full game.

Mainly just depends on Whitfield, could go 140+ this week.

But you're right with if theres anymore carnage if i hold Martin its a problem as i still have Doch.

You're getting Grundy and Warner who have good matchups, mitigating the risk of holding Martin but holding Rozee instead.

Whitfield and May may score 200pts but May pulled a 63 against the Tigers, might find things a bit harder against GWS, I would think that Grundy against a Xerriless North and Warner have the potential to outscore Whit and May, plus you're sorting out a LTI as opposed to a one weeker.

Reposting this due to more options popping up. Original plan was Martin -> JHF and Xerri -> Grundy (could afford just by like 3k).

Now the best I can do is hold Rozee (McCarthy cover) and trade Martin to Whitfield and Xerri to one of Cameron/Meek/Witts/Flynn (best I could afford).

Anyone got a suggestion for which of these rucks to have a stab at?

Other options are hold Martin and trade Rozee to Whitfield and Xerri to Gawn (best I could afford).

Or hold Rozee, trade Martin to Rankine/Jezza and trade Xerri to English (best I could afford).

Anyone help out here?

It would be Whit and May against Warner and McCarthy interms of points onfield, but yep i do agree Rozee should be held as id want him back in at some point anyway.

Gawny doesn’t have the best matchup this week but green mile comes after and should be a nice run home. Can’t afford the ruck pig unless I don’t bring it Whit but think this is the best option.
Have been looping with Dale and McCarthy at D6 but with the Rozee news - looks like I’ll have to play both. Hoping Dale can pop me atleast a 90.

Forced trades a killer this year but hoping next week I can do Rowston down and Dale to Steele/Dunkley next week. We will see though who knows what sort of carnage will come 🤷🏼‍♀️

Am I the only one that thinks Xerri will get off on appeal?
We may not appeal. After failed attempts at Curtis and Archer that both should have been successful. Probably a 20-30% chance at best on appeal

With Martin out I'll probably have to get in Daniel again so I can afford Xerri up to Gawn

Might be able to go McCarthy and Johnson up to Whit next week as a 23rd but might not have enough cash, JHF's value would've been a handy option to facilitate it

JHF value pick would have been nice with the Nic Martin offload.

I have him forward, so need a fwd in return.

Xerri swap not much better, could move Jackson to ruck, but still need another fwd.
Dreadful pattern forming.

Holding Rozee to deal with the above two, but little faith in Rozee returning to form. Someone will punch his hand in a marking contest to get him off the field.
I don't think Xerri gets off, since when can North afford a decent lawyer to argue this? (And they're gonna need a damn good one)

Having a look around Dewar is still an option perhaps

Came back from injury, has Richmond this week with an 8 breakeven

I'm thinking with my team If I want Grundy I go to him from Xerri and Martin down to Dewar

Then get Miers next week from Rowston and Johnson, then the week after go McCarthy and Dewar to a 23rd

Was going to trade out Doc and Martin before the latest carnage. Now thinking of holding Rozzee moving to defence bench and fielding A Clarke. With JHF and Martin out I look to bring in 2 forwards with $1.71 mill in the bank. Might need to look for value, any suggestions?
