Dowling is very stiff not to get a look in todayDowling must be wondering what he has to do. Not even on the extended bench.
Very happy to see we didn't turn back to Murphy upon injury.
ANB, Peatling and Milera are safe on the bench. So one extra player to be named in the 22 (Jones?) and one more as sub.
Perhaps they should re-watch the 2017 GF and then see if they still come to that ridiculous conclusionRichmond supporters have a rivalry with everyone. There's a group who legitimately think the league and media is out to get them, and that recent rules changes were implemented to stop their dynasty. They call it the CFL (Corrupt Football League) and that their club is the target.
Yes, a Melbourne-based club who, when up and about, draw crowds of more than 80K is one that the league don't want to succeed.

100%. Been playing well in that role all season, and named there again this weekendDowling is very stiff not to get a look in today
Played wing last week in sanfl and did well.
He really should come in on form and position
So we have the heaviest team playing Curtin instead of Sholl off a wing...Interesting stats from the main board - the R18 team height and weight averages. Interesting that our average weight is the greatest and generally well most other teams. Ports was the lowest - we averaged 5kgs per player more than them!
Carlton - 188.1cm, 85.8kg
Brisbane - 187.9cm, 85.9kg

Well across a team of 23 that’s a cumulative 100+ kgs heavier than the opposition. So we have the heaviest team playing Curtin instead of Sholl off a wing...
We play 3 genuine tall forwards & defenders, along with the tallest wingman in the AFL.Well across a team of 23 that’s a cumulative 100+ kgs heavier than the opposition.
But as you put it, it moreso means that we generally have 2 or 3 positions on the field where we have a size advantage. Curtin is one. Usually one of Tex, Fog or TT have a clear weight / size mismatch.
You'll get sanctioned for mentioning weight, will you not?Interesting stats from the main board - the R18 team height and weight averages. Interesting that our average weight is the greatest and generally well most other teams. Ports was the lowest - we averaged 5kgs per player more than them!

I could imagine Bond getting a shutdown role on one of their half backs. Noble and Rioli have been great for them most of the year.Doubt it.
Reckon we will run one of our main mids with Rowell.
Perhaps a challenge for Berry as they both love to tackle.

Some pretty disgusting posts on GC board about our club, call us a racist club, that Mac Andrew will be racially vilified this week.
We got Stevic this Sunday. FFS.
I don’t think it’s a matter of Crouch being a game changer, I just think he does Berry’s position better than Berry does. It’s those small things which add up over the entirety of the game that can make the difference. Was it last year or the year before when Crouch was pretty much playing SANFL and made an immediate impact when he got his chance in AFL. I think you are taking for granted the advantage of first touch and clearances from centre bounces are. Yeah rebounding footy has become a dangerous weapon for us, but first crack into our forward 50 surely has to be as important.I won't argue against Berry being moved out but our midfield set up now for CBAs isn't something that Matt Crouch works with. We set up behind our opposition so that when we do get the ball it is an extraction that has us running in a straight line towards 50. For the last 5 years we have been on the inside of the opposition hoping for Rob to drop the ball at his feet, which whilst we won more clearances, the quality was shithouse around the corner kicks most often chopped off at half back for the opposition to mop up and rebound.
Now we get less clearances, though higher quality when we do and we mop up more of the opposition under pressure clearances more often than we used to.
We lost the clearances against two strong clearance-winning teams in our last two matches, but so what? We smashed both teams on spread and rebound, two things that Matt Crouch does not do well, badly enough that he becomes a hindrance.
I really don't understand how Matt Crouch getting 25 non hurt touches makes our side better than it has been performing without him.
Is that with or without Rioli though?Interesting stats from the main board - the R18 team height and weight averages. Interesting that our average weight is the greatest and generally well most other teams. Ports was the lowest - we averaged 5kgs per player more than them!

I find a way.Bit hard to hate a team that have been mostly terrible for a long time.
