Others have definitely done it. Some players seem to get less injury prone with age but if he is getting to the concerning stage at the moment. He's looking a bit Paddy McCartin at the moment. In 2026 he will have been given 2 extra seasons than Paddy. He really wants to play a minimum of 15 games in 2026 or you'd think they'd be looking to move past him.
Knee is different to concussion at least in the AFL industry

Unfortunately (or fortunately i guess) we feel a bit North like. Star forward who could win a coleman in a poor team. Talented pillars defensively (noting theyve got nothing like Wilkie) and a fleet of good kids (they have MORE talent but we have Nas).

I do think Clarko is completely ****ing checked out there, i remember our game against them last year he didnt even bother adressing the group at three quarter time and they really do seem to have accepted and gotten comfortable in their mediocrity.

At this point they look stuck being a mini development camp for good players.
Wouldn't surprise me if Horse returns to the fold as their next coach.

Your example was using the likes of Lalor and Richmond.

By the same comparison Tauru Wilson & Pou meet that criteria.
Lalors not elite, that’s not what I was saying, he’d be the only kid who might have actually been this year except he was injured.

There's only 2 scenarios I'll be happy with for Nas. He stays or Butters.

I think if he does go it'll be something close to Berry + 2 future firsts though.
If not Butters it needs to be 2 players that have an immediate impact maybe an Ollie Lord as he has become surplus to their needs & either a like for like HBF or midfielder, draft picks won't cut it if it's a shallow draft.

They’re adamant they wouldn’t even ask Bergman.

Berry, Sinn, Farrell and someone else I’d never heard of plus ONE future first was their supporters best offer or they’ll pursue us for restraint of trade.

Ollie lord is a shadow of the player he was 2 years ago.

Berry was a high pick last year which we tried to trade back in to get him. Id start with him. Everywhere is suggesting 3 first rounders. He's 1 of them

I know you know this cause you’re doing elite work in that thread but it’s really gotta be Bergman and a future or Berry and two (and both are still unders) assuming butters has no interest (and if he does, throw the TDK deal out and give butters that cash).

They’ve got nothing else they even could trade.

If we’re not getting one of those two or three deals back ourselves to re sign him (and I reckon most of our supporters will tell me to **** off at two of those deals).

Bergman and Berry for me.

Future picks are useless.

Hes a 2 time AA isnt he (20 and 21).

I recall being pretty shocked by his AA in 2020, just statistically I dont think he had a 30 touch game? But he was doing the run with role and beating his opponents hands down.

21 he was elite and a brownlow fancy.

I reckon he fell out of form for the most part post that, in that he was solid without being spectacular at any point.

I also reckon hes looked pretty good the last few weeks.
2020 was the restricted covid year with shortened games.

You know we offered Rowell close to $2m alongside the TDK offer right?

It would be a choice.
(Circling back to your prior post)
Yeh I struggle to see how we do TDK at 1.7 and butters at 1.8 or whatever we’d need to offer him and keep the core of what we’ve got (I don’t see how we would have made the Rowell deal work either tbh).
