For certain: Reid, Baker.

Maybe: Ryan, Maric, Ginbey, Hewett.

If he was fit, Waterman would go close, but hard to displace our three keys. He's more of the Treacy type and he isn't replacing Treacy.

The old Freo docker supporter in me views this sort of game with trepidation. We should win handily but with our flaky history any win would make me happy.

Eagles will bring their A game on Saturday. Kelly only plays 2 decent games a year and both are derbies. Harley looks like he has hit some form.

The old trauma induced pessimism is roiling beneath the surface of our mob.
Beating the best team in the comp peaks anxieties already building with our run of form over the previous 8 matches.

Could be a bit of history broken on the weekend when it comes to derbies.

We never had a above 50% record against the Eagles at Subiaco - Closest we got was 2015 derby 1 when we bridged it to 20 wins/21 losses at the Venue. Before it finished at 20 wins 26 losses.

Optus Stadium - Eagles won the first 6 games there, Freo have won the next 7 of the last 8 derbies which leaves both teams at 7 wins a piece at Optus.

A win this week will take us over the 50% win record at Optus and the first time in History Freo be ahead on the W/L ledger at a Venue against the Eagles.

Were still a 3 min years away from getting through overall as we are 6 wins behind the Eagles but let the countdown begin.

Really? He's seemed to be going alright this year when I have watched.
Eagles guys that would get a game for the Dockers is an interesting exercise. I would say:
Definitely: Harley, Yeo (if fit) Waterman, Baker, Hewett (if fit)
Maybe: Ginbey, Hough, Dewar, McCarthy, Ryan, Allen

Some of those guys, like Jake Waterman, would be pretty darn good players in our team.

Before Jack Williams was drafted I said he'd be lucky last past two years in the system.

Me being wrong is because he was drafted by West Coast and not a decent team. He won't be playing for them when they're a decent team again.

You'd think a few games of Shanahan would wake them up to what an actual decent KPP prospect looks like.

Hewitt, Ginbey and Hough will be B Graders. The types that’d get games for pretty much every team in the competition but be a star at none. Hewitt could be the one that might be A Grade.

The three you’ve mentioned should be very good. Wouldn’t rule out Bo Allan yet either - I was impressed at Peel last year.

I’ve seen some very average looking prospects become very good (Waterman from them is a decent example) but I don’t really see it beyond being fringe AFL players with the remainder of their youngsters. They need two massive drafts before Tasmania come in.
