Brady ****ing Rawling & Co rate F. Maley highly is why we didn't see any need to take Archie May. That makes total sense.

Checks ladder position, checks W/L record for the past six years, yep make a shit load of sense.

Maley is better than May.

Some, yes.

But I will die on the hill that we should have taken at least one of Curtin/Caddy/Watson when we took McKercher/Duursma.

Our list profile at the time absolutely did not need both an undersized midfielder/winger and a medium forward/flanker.

Hindsight wasn't needed for criticism of that one.
Agree with this.
I was all in on Curtain but with the way this club has been going I have no doubt he would have packed up and gone home by now.

Maley is better than May.

Maley is shit, he' shit at VFL level, has played 9 VFL games ( 2025) for 15 goals. Who in their right mind would think a) that's good. b) get him in at AFL level.
Answer is, no one sane.

But yes you are yet again correct, fumbles Finbar Mooses Maley, 7 games; .6 goals, 2.7 marks, 3 kicks. May; 5 games 1.2 goals, 6.2 kicks, 3.6 marks.

Even though the stats show you're wrong, you are right of course.

3 kick a match, not even a kick a quarter , FMD, one just has to laugh.

Tom Campbell was not a bad pickup. He was a veteran back up ruck who was a great mentor to the younger blokes.

Would have him back in a heartbeat.

Rawlings Top Blunders:

8. The CCJ Trade

7. The obsession with undersized footballers: Will Phill, R Stevens, C Harvey, Hansen Jr, B Drury, J Konstanty, Spicer, Mahony, Banch, McKercher, Fisher, Daniel, Wardlaw......I mean seriously, WTAF is going on?

6. 2020 Draft - taking Spicer ahead of McCreery. They were both at the same club & he rated Spicer ahead of McCreery????

5. Selecting Banch in the MSD when we already have 7 short people on the list. How he thought Banch could make it at AFL level is a mystery.

4. Drafting Jack Mahony - a small, slow, inside mid. Again, we already had a stack of his type. and THEN extended his contract after it was as clear as day Crafty was not AFL standard. Extending Hansen Jrs contract is right up there as well.

3. Jacob Edwards in the MSD ahead of Jai Newcombe.

2. Using pick 4 on Z Duursma - Again, we have a list full of half forward flankers. Leaving Dan Curtin on the table, and even Nik Watson will go down as major f**k ups.

1. Trading pick 25 for C Daniel & then following that with the Whitlock trade. Laughable.

Please feel free to add. Those are just off the top of my head.
Let’s also add trading our current pick 8 for a Melb F1…..when the clown was on gardening leave……showing a complete misunderstanding of our requirements but also no knowledge of the actual draft at the time. To only follow up with the Melb F1 draft and load up on 180cm types…..we took 4 didn’t we? Philllips, Powell, Lazarro and Spicer. …….epic fail.

Also, would like to add in the absolute soft approach to the JHF deal. We got stitched in that as well…….zero balls. Should have made Port “go away and come back with pick 2”. We already had pick 1. Ordinary deal for us in the end IMO.

Absolutely. Port were the most committed buyer ever.
We should have said here are our demands, meet them or he stays. And when they bleated, said you have our position, come see us when it's met.
Instead we folded like a cheap suit.

Just like the way he played, ie you didn’t really want him having the ball, we don’t need him doing any deals. They are always massively underwhelming, at best.
Bloke has put this club in the wilderness

Should the NMFC be contacting NASA or any International Space Observatories in September for all the staff and players we are going to be shooting into the Sun? Is there a protocol of doing one a day, or can we do all at once? Combined with a Greg Swann clean out at AFL House starting with that Campaigner Christian it’s going to be a congested launching pad. I reckon Graham Wright will also have a decent list of Blue Baggers.

A nice, doormat, cuck at our club that would get no criticism from the above

Who decides on these people at our club btw? Is it our board? President?
Board employs the CEO.

CEO employs at the executive level with Board sign off.

At least that’s how it works in my experience.
