I’d prefer Steele at the moment.

Allan was looking good as a mid and they put him back on the wing.

What about it?Liked his game today!
Some of his defensive efforts reminded me of Ollie Henry. He needs to show some aggression in his game, flailing your arms against an opponent doesn’t do shit, needs to tackle, show your speed.
Not convinced with him, finals go to another level, don’t see him at this stage being able to rise to that challenge
You need to watch that play again. He applied pressure to about 4 different players during that passage. He did all he could do and the guy kicked a lucky goal in the end.Wasn't at his best and went for too many speculative handballs.
Didn't apply any pressure at all to that bloke who goaled from the boundary line.

He really frustrates me. Plays way too safe. He corralls all day long. His corralling stats must be through the roof - but he never actually risks going in for the tackle. You need to watch that play again. Best touch footy player everHe really frustrates me. Plays way too safe. He corralls all day long. His corralling stats must be through the roof - but he never actually risks going in for the tackle.
100% correct was horribly exposed by a substandard bunch today. Lacks composure and appears to be terrified of any physical contact (squibing the marking contest before Nicks third goal a prime example). Gallivants around in the last quarter of games when it's over and pads his stat's sucking people into thinking hes a player. He needs to show some aggression in his game, flailing your arms against an opponent doesn’t do shit, needs to tackle, show your speed.

It’s not great viewing![]()
Tiger's wild boundary effort turns Goal of the Year contender
Steely Green kicks an outrageous major when pressed up against the boundary line early in the third termwww.afl.com.au
All he could do?? Really?
Lol. Did you watch the previously 60 seconds where he chases down 3 other guys and then works hard to get close to the goal kicker. He looks like almost the only Collingwood player on the field. I expect Fly to highlight it to the playing group during the week and praise the effort.![]()

It’s a shocking effort! Barely broke out of a jog. Cannot believe it’s being defended - athleticism is meant to be his point of difference! It’s not great viewing
Does that actually look like a supposedly fast athletic player working hard??Lol. I gave you a suggestion. Maybe do that before responding. You just look bitter.Does that actually look like a supposedly fast athletic player working hard??
I watched the effort live and was spewing, and have watched replays and feel the same. His earlier efforts were there, but also lacked physicality.I gave you a suggestion. Maybe do that before responding. You just look bitter.
Just watched it again. Exactly as I remember. Takes all these short steps and applies no pressure whatsoever. You need to watch that play again. He applied pressure to about 4 different players during that passage. He did all he could do and the guy kicked a lucky goal in the end.
Maybe watch it again. You seem like one of those blokes who is always spewing bile on the game day thread. Maybe come back after watching the replay.I watched the effort live and was spewing, and have watched replays and feel the same. His earlier efforts were there, but also lacked physicality.
His defensive application in general is pretty obviously his weakness, and why he is a fringe player.
The the coaches want him to take that risk?He really frustrates me. Plays way too safe. He corralls all day long. His corralling stats must be through the roof - but he never actually risks going in for the tackle.
