They’re one of the most in form teams of the comp at the moment. Even without Greene it should be a considered a good win if we get it.

It would rank as our third best win of the season, IMO.

The match against GWS in Canberra was our best win, followed by Sydney at the SCG.

The match against Carlton in round three would have rated higher if we actually played well in that game, but we were a rabble. It's fortunate Carlton were more of a rabble. In those early stages of the season, we were quite undermanned and Carlton were still expected to be finalists so it's worthy of a mention.

I'd hardly call this week against an undermanned GWS team a challenge when they're our bunnies.

People are underrating this GWS team. Even with their outs they are still stacked with talent all over the field and are on a 6 game winning streak. We are going to have to be close to our best to beat them.

It definitely would be a more important win than the Canberra one.

Agree that game was a really good performance, especially being the first game without Darcy and having to throw Lobb forward.

Toby only had a goal and 9 disposals against Swans. They can get it done easily without his influence these days.

I'm actually one of the few who rates them but they're our bunnies and we always rise to the occasion.

Their only recent victory against us was a choke of epic proportions. From memory we lost two players early which helped them overcome a 35-point deficit to win at the death thanks to some Toby Greene heroics kicking five of the final 12 goals of the match.

We've won 8 of our last 9 against them.

They've got 5 of their best 23 players out if you include Ward, and Taylor and Hogan aren't 100%. Taylor is second up on a six day break while Hogan has missed three of the past six matches and in the three games he has played he has only kicked a combined total of five goals, which is below average for him.

All points are valid except Ward is no longer one of their best players. However, they were very impressive against Sydney and as Bulldogs supporter we get very nervous in must win games. The crows were a must win game, double it for lions and now triple it for the giants. I guess you could have said it against the bombers but that was nearly their reserve team.

Him and Coffield are fighting for the same role, and I’ve seen enough from both to have Cleary comfortably ahead now.
Sellwood is also fighting for that exact role and I’d much prefer him to get that job.

The other option is to drop the 3rd KPD and play Sellwood AND Cleary. If we’re going to play Lobb in the ruck then I think we need the 3rd tall.

It’s frustrating that we don’t have a settled structure that feels like it’s changing week to week.

I

He's a total turd. He'd yes be one of those that out with mates, sees someone getting bashed and laying on the ground covering up and Greene grub would run up and kick their head. He acts like it in footy, because its him who he is. I see zero difference from a while back to now. Chuck him in the ring with a serious goer and we'll see how tough the coward hitter is.
Did I mention I can't stand Toby Greene?
💯 %
My most hated player on my most hated team

Sellwood looks like a player and had he not missed games after being's drafted may have been a possibility. Cleary is doing enough to be best 22 at the moment as the coaches votes attest to. Therefore unless Cleary drops off it is unlikely Sellwood gets a game but he is doing enough for a contract in a position with little depth

I’m more concerned about the other Green. Close to their best player.

Do any stats guru's know the last time Toby Green played against us at Marvel.
Not Ballarat, just Marvel.

I think he has only played against us at Marvel once since he eye gouged Bont in the final

Has only played three times

2014, 2015, 2017

He missed the games in 2020 and 2022, I'm not sure why but I'll assume suspension

TBH i rather have Sellwood in same role how ever i dont know how quick he is but he"ll do his contract the wonders

Went to see what the Giants board was saying about this game.

Out: Baker, Poulter
In: Sellwood, Davidson

Harmes and Arty one more game in the twos after lay-offs. L.Jones and Buku unlucky.

I finally got to watch the whole replay. I thought Poulter and Baker played pretty well.

Poulter had a good 3rd quarter but had 3 disposals in the other 3 quarters wouldn't exactly say that is playing pretty well given we won by over 90 points and dominated the game

Baker was fine but didn't do anything special and given again we won easy not enough to hold their spots
