Dan MacConnell, Ben Davies, Cam Thurley, Sam Power, Kasey Green.... Whatever happened to these guys? I didn't mind them.
Signor Rawlings has taken trading to another level. We've just gotta hope the AFL allows clubs to trade future 1st round picks not only for the following year, but future picks 4-5 years ahead.
Imagine the wizardry Signor Rawlings & Master Viney can orchestrate with those levers to pull.....

As I keep saying, Signor Rawlings nose what he's doing.
Well Sam power fleeced Brady for the Caleb Daniel deal

Can we get him back to replace Brady

You say “no reason” but there is.
The same Jerbronies that got us in this hole (Rawlings and co.) are still there! How can we trust these twits to suddenly find “diamonds in the rough” when they have a putrid track record at identifying talent and negotiating decent trades???

I’m waiting to hear “NM has traded their pick 23, for Richmond’s pick 37.”
Fair point. But even Brady and co picked Curtis at 35. I'd like a new list manager though.
You could fire Thursfield after two drafts if you wanted to do that (too early for me to judge his drafts with 1-2 years development), but not sure you'd get many recruiting manager's applying for a job if that's the period you're judged on.
This draft will tell me whether Will can find talent at R2 and R3 picks.

No more mids please in 2025 draft, luckily we do not hold any high draft picks for Brady to push us in that direction. Need a KPF, although some signs with Whitlock are promising (not sure if he will end up as a KPF but potential exists), A med sized half-back that breaks lines and sets us up for a good transition and a ruck option.

The draft isn’t Rawlings’ job.

Been saying for a while, key forward is the biggest hole and yet they keep selecting swingmen who look best as defenders.
Well there's another swingman Cody Curtin who just kicked 6 in the WAFL Colts and missed a few others.
I haven't seen him as a defender, others who have suggest he's a good defender, but he looks pretty imposing as a kpf/ruck from what I've seen, just a bit inconsistent game to game.

We desperately need outside run. Maybe lower picks will make us actually fill needs.
I think I'm dropping small fwd as a priority for this year, as Dovaston likely gone by our picks.

Get me a key fwd (kpf/ruck) (Curtin/Ludo/Heatherton/Ah-Mu)
Mid/wing/hbf (Farrow/Barker/LeRay/Phillipou)
Small/Medium defender (Taylor/Dahlitz/Davis//Kondogiannis)

Who's the hardest worker contest to contest and decent foot skills?

Thoughts on Talor Byrne mate? In my opinion he’s got it all for a small forward too. Tackles and pressures like Konstanty but marks overhead and kicks goals like Harvey.

Think he may too be gone before our picks when all is said and done.

Hmm. I would probably say 190cm Harley Barker, strong athlete and great ball user, but unfortunately did his ACL, so he may drop a bit, but I would think a finals team would take the punt in late R1 like say Crows.
LeRay was pretty good in that regard as well, worked hard down the wings and used it well.
Jacob Farrow at 189cm is a bit reminiscant of Hardemann or Jordan Dawson. Good composure, foot skills pretty good.
Riley Onley is a bigger mid at 194cm who can really run, but defensive running and ball use I'm just not as sure on compared to the others. He had some nice kicks and some not so nice one's.
But I did think the same about Freijah and his decision making and whilst he can make some turnovers, he looks to have really cleaned that up at AFL level, so I'm learning to try to be less critical of guys like Onley lol.
Have to tell myself they will have some turnovers and elements they need to work on, but what are their strengths.

Thanks. So LeRay, Farrow and Onley are on my watch list.

Yeah he's an interesting one. Hard to know where he will rank. Would he go before pick 38?
At 174cm (1cm taller than Banch), I guess my concern would be how explosive is he and at that size what impact can he have at AFL level. He looks like he's got some neat skills and a few tricks.
He had a killer game against Vic Country, tackling pressure, marks, goals, score involvements and showed some real forward position/body work in the contest.
El Ackhar is only 171cm to be fair though, but he looks to have real break the lines speed.

There could be a few others I'm not aware of from the Coates league (I haven't watched that much of it) that are later in the draft, but those are mostly the top 25 range. Fred Rodriguez (184cm) perhaps another.
Max Kondogiannis at 190cm, but mostly played down back. Foot skills looked alright.
The you smaller guys like Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier (182cm) and Jack Dalton (177cm), but I'd rather a taller wing/hbf.
