Midfielders could include McC, Owies, Long, Chess, Hutch, Newton, Grego and any other randoms I’ve missed. JWill into the ruck. Ginbey HFF or mid. Bazzo to HFF (if HEd available). Ryan or Brockman HBF. And I haven’t even considered Dewar, HJ or Davis.

For sure Gross is a long term player for us.
Should we be giving Chesser another couple of runs this year to see if it’s worthwhile giving him another contract or not? I think we should.

If Chesser remains in the 'see what he has got' group then he needs the remaining four weeks to show what he has got with new coach and game style. Then the new coach can make a more informed decision as whether or not Chess fits Mini's long term plans.

Rather burn four weeks now than give him an extension and there is no improvement.
