I reckon SOS might consider being potted for a situation that the negative parts are very likely not of his doing as 'f***ing rude' and 'ludicrous' also 🙃

The man probably deserves some criticism and the jury is still out in general but your original argument has no basis.

I'm sorry if I came on a bit strong like Craig McRae on Jack Silvagni, but I've seen what you have said peddled over and over again by people and it makes literally no sense.
Considering I highly doubt SOS is on here looking to see what people think of him and how he’s doing his job, and that he’d really care anyway what some anonymous poster be writing, I think that’s irrelevant.

Anyway, I’m all good, don’t take anything too seriously on here anyway. Might be good to remember though that opinion is exactly that - a personal opinion, and “sense” is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm confident Nas will sign but it could be a very long August. The managers of these guys (Windy's included) obviously just don't mind waiting. In Nasiah's case, waiting has probably earned him in excess of half a million a year or even more. There's just no rush for these guys, it's earning them money the longer they wait.

For Nas, his explosion has ultimately helped us to keep him because his price has become absolutely enormous at the trade table. There also seems to be a bit of a vibe among the young players and I think that will ultimately see him sign on, but maybe not for quite a while.
It’s also helped to make him an asset that no one can afford.

Gave him a proper clip. Nice work. He's more Fizzler than Kizzler after that.
Belligerence is not really my usual posting style, as you’d know, so I’m putting it down to all this NAS stress and insanity.
( What a handy excuse 🤣)

Sharman had forward written all over him from the get go.
Sharman was scouted and the next pre season teams were blocking his running patterns, was sent back to learn how forwards deal with these tactics. If Caminiti goes forward next season you will see his forward craft improved out of sight.
Happens all the time.

Why on earth would you write this? I just wasted my time listening to it to see what was said based on your comment. Absolute zero indication that he is gone. If anything it sounds like he thinks all 3 of him Nas and Owens are staying. Have a break champ
You're delusional if you listened to that interview and came away more confident.

We constantly hear that Nas is quiet, shy, humble etc. Shuns the spotlight.

With the way things have gone, particularly in the last month, there would be enormous focus and pressure on Nas if he was to return to SA. Part of a 2 team town. On a humungous contract. Learning to play under a new coach, new game plan, new teammates etc.

Maybe he’ll be okay with all that.

However he may well decide it’s best to get his big payday while operating in a comfortable, well established work environment.

The possibility of Nas quietly slipping back into Adelaide to play a bit of footy in front of family and friends has gone forever.

Today should be a day to celebrate the Max Hall announcement. I was genuinely concerned Hawthorn would do us dirty.

All of this Nas stuff is taking the shine off todays good news. I hope this ages badly, but this week was the week to sign, the momentum was huge after that win.

If its not this week, I dont think it will be decided before the end of the season.

Wednesday Hall
Thursday Windy
Friday Nas / Pou

My LORD DO IT SAINTS

Kind of disappointed in Nas tbh

If he is staying, what better way to announce it than on Monday morning after that game.

If he wants to stay and the manager is telling him to delay still, he has the power to just tell him no and get it done.

And if he wants to leave even after that performance & really taking ownership of the club and its future with Owens, Windy etc, there’s not much else we can do.

Mamas boy gonna mamas boy. Hope Windy tags the life out of him first time we play him if he bails

I'm just a touch older than Gary Lyon, and I look about 10 years younger than Gerard Wheatley !! I also want to know if he grew up in Chernobyl ??!!

That's horrifying. If he continues ageing at this rate hell be dead by 55!!
Haha, I saw Whateley goal umpiring down at East Malvern u13s a few weeks ago… he doesn’t look as old in real life as he does in that photo

Could the club not posting Hall's extension mean they're expecting nas to sign really soon and announce it together?

edit: Could also definitely be to not piss off fans and save everyone asking about nas, it used to be weeks I'd change from positive to negative but it's become minutes now

Some of us had been saying we needed to be offering more over 2 years

Guy wants to go home and we are low balling home.

This club never learns.

And you take that as gospel. Bet not one of the clubs spoken to were from Adelaide or the Saints, the only three clubs he is likely to be at/go to.
It would be a ploy for the others to say that to try and max out a rivals cap.

Really you fell for that?🤣🤣🤣

I'll preface this with: I think Nas is staying, at least for the 2 years.

BUT IF HE DOESNT

When they write the book "How the St Kilda Football Club Died", Nas leaving will be it's own chapter.

The AFL has never been more about dollars and public perception. We don't have much leverage in either. We're the whipping boys in the media which hurts our public perception. And they are gonna have a field day with "Saints are dumb, they overpaid TDK and lost Nas" because they are idiots. And our crowds are awful, so dollars are going to be down too. We just saw probably our greatest home and away moment in 50 years and half the top level was closed, and you could read the Marvel letters on the bottom level seats because it was half empty.

Our supporter base is on the brink after another 15-year rebuild. Nas is our best player, universally liked, and someone who delivers on everything we've been missing for that 15 years. 15 years of mids who butcher the footy. 15 years of youngsters sitting in the stands injured. 15 years of blokes going missing when the heat is on. If he walks out the door at 22, it may just be the straw that finally breaks our collective spirit.

If he leaves I think i'm done. It's a genuine line in the sand moment for our club. We've obviously got a huge disadvantage on the big clubs who can sell players on big games and media exposure. We've tried taking discarded list cloggers from other clubs in the hope we can moneyball a list. We've tried paying overs for players that fit our list profile but truthfully only came here for the cash (Hill, Hanners, Crouch). Now we've finally committed to a group of young players who are genuinely talented and we are continuing to do so. We've done everything we can to develop him, give him a support network, empower him, offer him everything an AFL player could possibly want. If he still wants to go after last week, then I genuinely have no fight left in me.

You love making shit up.

Adelaide and Ports offer is more than ours over the first two years.
