Max Gawn taps down to Petracca, long kick forward, goal or defended well then kicked down the line to Max Gawn who sends it back in again. Rinse and repeat.
We can’t stop Gawn dominating in the centre bounce, but we can attempt to run the ball out and kick it to a position on the ground where he isn’t, after the centre bounce.
This could get ugly, and the tricks bag is bare, there are no changes that we can make that will stop this, because the ruck cupboard is empty.
Some people are constantly banging on about drafting mids, mids, mids, and that’s it, we do need a couple of mids, but it’s as plain as the nose on Bill Lawry’s face that we need ruckmen, not just one but 2.
Barnett was drafted to fill the role of an up and comer, but he’s got the heart the size of a pea.

Chesser has an unbelievably shocking run with injuries, I hope the young man plays well.
My eldest son suffered a dislocated ankle earlier this year, came back played 1 and 1/2 games and got a dislocated patella, broke a bit of bone off 17mm x 5mm, torn meniscus and needs a medial ligament reconstruction. He’s the best young ruckman in Broome dominates the hit outs. He’s in surgery this morning in Perth at Hollywood hospital.
We can’t underestimate the horror run of injuries Chesser has had on his development, we should be backing him in 100% and hoping he can be a solid player long term.
I’m still very hopeful on Chesser.

Maric was one of our better players against Fremantle. Gotta leave him at HB and let him play side by side with McCarthy for a bit. Dewar gotta go back to the wing

If Ryan's struggling at training leave him behind. Infact may be best to rest him for the year at this point and give Newton a full run

I know Flynn isn't' that good and will be little more than a speed bump against Max Gawn, but even that is better than the alternative.
