Yep agree. With all of my medical expertise. I just want him to be the generational forward lynchpin we were all hoping he'd be. That's just tail lights in the mirror at this stage. Have become super frustrated with him. Not his fault I know. Just the amount of hope and hype that was attached to him as a player to build a flag tilt around and the reality that he's looking like an injury bust with poor body language when he has been on the park.

Does that mean he is getting paid $2m a season for the next 7+ years at either SA club?

I completely understand where Stav is coming from--it could be a real cluster F in 2027 where we have lots of players out of contract with many potentially hitting elite/A Grade form and all wanting massive bucks (and being offered massive bucks from rivals).

However, I think if Nas says you have to give me $2million a season for 2 years, it will be a brave St Kilda to say no. Hence why we are between a rock and a hard place.

Imagine losing Nas because we were worried about this group coming out of contract:

Tauru, Hastie, Hill, Wilkie, Garcia, Clark, Sinclair, Steele, Macrae, Barrat, Collard, Henry, Wood, Marshall, Travaglia

Which players in there ^ are even remotely close to breaking the bank in 2 years?

105% is over a 4 year cycle I believe? Salary caps increase , player movements, player retierments etc.

It’s Riley beverage on gettable. He just said clubs he’s spoken to believe he’s now worth 2 million over the contract not $2 million front loaded. Port and Adelaide have both offered $2 million front loaded according to him, he also said people think port can do $2 million a year.

I sorry but I’m not going there and they will need to find a deal to make it happen. We need to put the acid on Nas and his manager, staying or going and if you’re leaving you better check your club of choice are willing to make it happen.

If port have to trade butters then so what, that could be made to work for us.

I don’t think it’s going to be that bad in z2027. If we aren’t entering 2028 with a legitimate GF contender chance, we may as well rebuild again.

Port will HAVE to trade Butters because there is no way they can afford 2 million a year in cap space without letting some big contracts go. There is no way in hell they have banked enough cap space over the last couple of years whilst attempting to compete at the pointy end of the ladder.
