tough day..
not much to add, we just need to walk on from it..burn the tape and just let it go...
Our kids are tired and the team as a whole are about to fall over.
The goal kicking is the heartbreaking scratch your eyes out aspect of the year,we just have to improve on.
can't let today damper the progress our team has made this year.

When is the spotlight going on Jayden Short?

For a senior player his ball use is disgraceful. Prestia likewise where's the accountability? He had Rowell he was weak in the contest and when he did win it he coughed it up constantly.

I'm tired of the same senior players letting us down. I couldn't care less about W/L but these senior players need to keep us in games for the younger players to build confidence.

Short has been good since he came back. Had a poor game today, but who didn't?

Must suck to only have more successful clubs to laugh at ☹️

Not making any kind of excuses as we were dismal, but Yze did say there was a virus going around the club. Broady just got hit harder than the rest. Could be a reason for the low energy.
If that's true, we actually did well to keep the margin under 100 with the form that the suns are in.

Always been a fan but I’m finding it hard to make a case for Prestia to go again next year.
He is regularly getting out bodied inside and turns the ball over by hand far too much. His defensive efforts are half hearted at best and he simply doesn’t sprint. He moves around at three qtr pace. he also adds to the problem we have with the unbalanced midfield mix.

Had to watch the game on replay. We looked like a tired team and Faull being injured early on didn't help. Anyway not too worried about the result. For a team that was predicted to not win a game this season we have 5 on the board.

The thing that stuck out for me during the game was that some obvious frees we should have got weren't called but similar frees did go the other way. Watching the game it seemed the free kick count was lopsided towards the home team. But FMD, I I just saw the team stats and we won the free kick count 20 to 18. Those numbers don't seem real, CFL must be pulling a shifty on us.

List is ****ed due to injury and lack of midfield balance. We need to lose 2 KPP’s and gain 2 mids net this offseason to fix the issue for next year.
Lalor. McCauliffe. Smillie. Taranto. Why worry about our midfield when the 4 x players I expect to be our best mids before too long aren’t even playing ?

Not fussed at all…We beat them earlier in the year, earlier in our rebuild…They have too much to play for right now, and we can’t afford Taranto out…Faull out…

Most of that is clearly injuries and fitness. Even when guys like Hopper were playing last year they were terrible because their body wasn't right.

It's certainly not because players like Mansell, Balta and Ross have improved (they haven't), nor the additions of Trainor, Sims, Faull, etc. (who might be doing okay as first-year players but certainly aren't helping us win games right now).

Our list is worse this year than last year, it'll be worse again next year and the year after IMO.
Our list will be worse again next year? On what basis? McIntosh maybe retiring?

Just look at the list of players who will have missed 7+ games by season’s end:

Armstrong
Gibcus
Lalor
Hotton
Lefau
Young
Faull
McCauliffe
Balta
Lynch
Gray
Short
Prestia
Clarke
Hugo
Dow

Don’t get me wrong, I realise they are not all quality players, but when you have multiple layers of players out you start digging into the 30-35th best player on your list every week etc…

Im thinking Faull medial will be a 12 week injury which ends up early november return
Perfect timing to get back for pre season

Its all about 2026 now so just finish the year off by beating the NorF's boys and go on holidays

Out : Faull
In : Lynch
