If it’s shown we didn’t re-sign nas because we didn’t offer enough money - I have no issues slamming the club.

But right now I’m seeing the club make a fair old effort to get that signature. More then they definitely did for old mate Battle 😉
Agree its the Go home factor with young indigenous players and this was mentioned at the time of recruiting -i for one would no go there again in the future -too much conjecture and this is the result

I think both Nas and Windy are trying to squeeze every cent they can out of the club.

I understand players wanting to set up their future but it feels like an us vs them vibe going on.

I don't know how responsible certain individuals are for that... Sos... Williams etc

I do think throwing big money around before our own players were locked in plays a part.

But it certainly doesn't feel like a bunch of people united to push this club towards it's next flag.

I don't like it.

I knew you wouldn't agree.
We'll see what the rest think. I'll keep you updated.....
Why would I agree with something that’s wrong that’s what you and sheep do with the club’s poor decisions

So no matter what the clubs does - even if they bring Jesus in to meet Nas …if he goes….its all because the club failed and no other reasoning matters ?
Great logic.
If NAZ leaves it is the clubs fault, I don't care what spin anyone puts on it. You lose the best player you have had for 20 years after all the talk about a changed environment, great coaching, a stable admin etc, it will all sound like BS.
Blame the manager, the go home palava, the fact will be the club is too weak to retain him.
And there will be consequences.

Happy to keep marshall moose and heath for next year. But if it looks like Marshall gets no value playing 2nd ruck/forward we'll need to trade him next year for less than we'd likely get now. Hard list balancing act

No it’s not it’s his manager’s fault and Battle s girlfriend’s fault

Club gets everything right

It's not good but at the same time players manages are vultures and the club set themselves up for it.
I think Ross basically get what he wants and it'll be the managers holding out while SOS plays hardball also. The extra drama won't alter the natural outcome.

The go home factor is going to hurt football in the long run.

Clubs just will not recruit outside of thier state.
Thats less non Vic talent.

No big surprise but Boyd not being offered a new contract and has been told that Heath and Dodson will get ruck opportunities at Sandy before him.
Meaning Heath won’t be delisted as some have speculated.

I said this on a stream the other night. You win a flag at St Kilda, you’re a legend. You’ve just won the greatest flag in AFL history. It’s easy to just go home, but he’ll just be another Port play there. Here he’s a god, we love him. He gives us hope. And despite the shyness, deep down you can see he LOVES being the man. He’d be the man, the messiah, at St Kilda.
Bontempelli is a good comparison.

He is combining his role as Captain and player with being an immortal and living legend at the Western Bulldogs.

A club with a history of struggle who broke through and won a Flag.

Second greatest Bulldog of all time according to that club. How about that for adulation and recognition.

If Bontempelli played with Hawthorn, Geelong or Collingwood, or another club with a lot of success, he would be praised but not the same elevated figure he is now.

NWM could be the same if he stays at the Saints.

It’s amusing to me that shitting on a club who is the most unsusccesful professional sporting organisation in the world bar none is so upsetting to some.
I would like to introduce you to…

Walsh very unhappy at Carlton and is of interest to others aswell.

Imagine if he sorts whatever his issue is there out. He stays.

Geelong also keen as per cal Twomey and I dare say if he ended up there we would have people annoyed sos wasn’t sniffing
Keen

So after the 4th quarter from last week has been played over the big screen, and the game against North is finished still with no re-signing announcement, when is the next acceptable window for an announcement? Round 1 2026 when he’s running out in a Port kit?
Coping hard but I’m hanging out for Monday night when Caro gets back on tv

Interesting the club just posted a random reel about Sincs/Harvey tied by the number 35. I saw a TikTok the other day exactly the same but it was Nas/Winmar and the 7
well hopefully that means a 34yo Naz will bugger off to adelaide to play a final season with the power, after 16 dynamic successful seasons with the saints

If we go into 2026 with Marshall, TDK, Moose, and Dodson as our ruck depth, then we are seriously healthy there…

It’s unlikely we’ll ever get a definitive comment that we didn’t pay him enough to keep him. I doubt it’ll ever even be that clear one way or the other.
So hardly rope to hang the club with if it’s not definitive.

Definitively we know the club keeps increasing its offers and offering different contract terms.
They are willing to give his cousin an opportunity back at the big time.
We know financially they have put him infront of our biggest power brokers

Like that’s just in the last weeks media.
