Ruck craft is ordinary, a decent enough second ruck and relief forward. Don't know how good he would go against a team with a decent backline or good ruckle.
Xerri would have really have tested him.

In saying that I am happily surprised with his development this year as I thought he would never make an AFL game.
I would agree with all of your post.

Which is why his handful of games shouldn’t mean not signing TDK.

In isolation, correct, however we have Marshall as the key ruck, and Keeler and Dodson still developing.
I predict Dodson will play seniors next year.
I totally understand the reasoning of the initial offer, even though that much for a ruck with ??? still over him was extremely, but as the year has unfolded the situation in my eyes has changed.

The thing with trading and drafting is it needs to be judged at the end of it not in early August.
There will be players we are targeting that nobody knows about or there could be a salary dump that fits us perfectly

However we can only look at the present and in my eyes the situation has changed and the offer requires revisiting.

Most negative Ross presser in awhile.

Did you watch his presser or just listen to it? Because Ross spent most of the Nas answer smiling. I didn't get negativity from his answer at all. It's the reality of the situation.

The only thing that makes me think Nas could be leaving is that it's Round 21 and it still isn't done. That's the only thing giving me pause. Because everything else seems to point in our favour.

The language Nas is using in interviews (about the club, about the boys, about his contract) is promising. We also have what his manager said a few weeks ago. And the biggest indicator - the fact the media don't know what is happening.

If Port or Adelaide were preparing for a trade or had even met with Nasiah, the media would know. The fact they know NOTHING suggests it's all happening within St Kilda at this point. It's when you add in second and third parties that things leak. But whatever is happening with Nas - at least right now - is happening at St Kilda.

Holy what cope a St Kilda fan can spin.

Wouldn’t call that laughing and smiling.

If we were 8th. Marshall just went down for the next month.

Are you confident Heath or Dodson could step up and deliver to get us into finals?

I’m not and for that reason, TDK makes plenty of sense.

Then you overlay that at worst he is level with Marshall as a genuine full time ruck. At best we hope he develops into an AA ruck.

We know why we are overpaying. We don’t get him if we don’t. We didn’t get PLENTY OF OTHER players trying to do this same thing.

He also spoke of Nas future development as something the club would to support him with to become that 8-10 year consistent gun mid like Bont.

He seemed moody as anything, I’ll give you that. But there wasn’t anything alarming in that interview.

If anything it sounds like an answer is coming soon.

In the fullness of time.

I want him to stay desperately.

But in instances like these look for neutral fans opinions. Those without major bias at play.

The league thinks he’s leaving.

If you want to over-analyse something from Ross' presser, the most concerning answer he gave is regarding the Father Son rule.

He is actively trying to sabotage our chances of getting Riewoldt's children. He doesn't like or want the Father Son rule in the first round. Our own Coach is actively campaigning for its abolishment.

So if the AFL decide to listen to Ross, we won't get Riewoldt's children, Lenny's children, Montagna's children, Dal Santo's children etc...unless they suck at football.

Seriously though, watch them bring this rule in THE YEAR BEFORE James is eligible.

The league also thought he was leaving when his manager went on gettable and said if he was a betting man he would be staying.

Was feeling good after what nas said post game and now I'm back to thinking he's gone by what ross said.

"Good luck to him and good luck to us" ffs

Sounds like he's saying good luck to him playing at the rabble at port and good luck to us getting something decent in return for him
