Only seen first 3/4 but he’s been very good up to this point. Minimal turnovers and very clean. Good to see him fight back after a rough trot.
Shocked how he's a Premiership defender and all Australian then..maybe the issue the team he's playing for and not him as an individual.
Both really. His best footy is behind him. As Dogs showed by moving him out of their best 22.
And then he's also a bad fit in our team.
If we hadn't paid so much for him no one would really care.

Was his best game for the year. Hopefully he turns a corner. I feel for the guy.
Its not his fault that he's slow and short and they insist on playing him in the backline. But that doesn't mean that he should get favourable treatment.
This is the sort of performance that will have him finish top 5 in the b&f and be cemented in the best 18 for Clarko’s entire tenure.

We were at the pub today and talking about players numbers - overall conversation was that if you have a single digit up to 10 you should be a senior player or someone of at least high level talent

He has lost pace, which puts him under more pressure so his disposal is worse. He had already become a regular magoos player at footscray.
Add to that the stricter 15m interpretation
We still select him as though he is peak daniels.
Who's giving him "favorable treatment"? I'd say he gets the opposite on here just because Brady traded a second rounder for him.
He never had pace to begin with.
Shame you missed the other 31 possessions at 91% disposal efficiency.
Then maybe the rest of the team should play better huh.

I didn’t miss him getting smoked 1v1 about 20m out directly in front.
campaigner useless as a defender. Cost us 2 goals just from existing.

His best is behind him, we have better users to move the ball out of the backline, at speed, which is so much better than fluffing around in the backline before losing the ball. Imo.

Even the blokes commentating, while discussing his attributes, gave that he could only kick 40 - 45. None of it is his doing, but the whole world knows why he's there, so any opponent, and every opponent for that matter, only has to close him down and then play through him.

He had a good response today and was mostly careful but we just can't think long term with his height in our backline. Anybody left one out with him is taking a set shot for goal and it kills us.

The only reasons I can think of why he is still getting a game.
- Hoping he comes good and fits into our system after round 20.
- To drop him would be a bad optic for any players we are targeting in the upcoming draft period “Oh I see how you treated Daniel in the 1st year of his 4 year contract. Not sure I want to come here.”
- Ego of Clarko, Viney and Rawlings (and the nameless Board) and like the Fonzi not wanting to admit they were WRONG in burning a #25 pick and giving him a 4 year contract.
- There is something in his contract he cannot be dropped for year 1.
- ???? I welcome other suggestions, as it’s not logical to play him each week down back, let alone in our best 22.

Imagine if we fed FOS, mckercher and Hardeman and managed to fast track their footy.
Nah give it to the sh1t campaigner who can’t kick more than 40m, can’t defend 1v1 and constantly sh1ts himself
He was responsible for the saints first 2 goals in the 3rd quarter - apart from that he played ok
