Can we talk about Mead’s inability to evade a tackle. He receives the ball in 5m of space, pauses, gets coralled and invariably gets tackled. It’s his MO. That and his inability to hold tackles himself. How can the coaches not see this????????????

I kind of understand what the coaches think McEntee might be able to do. But I have no idea what they think Mead is capable of. They keep talking up his strength as an inside midfielder. He’s terrible there.

Butters - was practically invisible without JHF, Rozee, & Bergman in the side, has to do better.

Drew - a dead set piss blaster merchant, who is just a poor man’s version of Matt Crouch who can’t get a game at the Crows.

DBJ - just **** off already, he couldn’t halve a contest against mini league opponents.

Burgoyne - Down hill skier, needs to work much harder.

Mead - looked like a struggling SANFL reserves player until finally getting a few meaningful possessions in the last qtr when Geelong put the cue in the rack.

L.Jones - I’m a fan, just needs a good coach & luck with his body to be a very good defender.

Boak - if he gets another year to make the community proud, I’m officially done.

Williams - we all know his lack of leg speed has limited his opportunities, but he’s been royally f***ed over by Ken. Has more skill & football nous than a large portion of his teammates.

Liddy - SANFL

Farrell - is only effective when it’s uncontested, otherwise he’s a complete liability.

Sinn - had a mare, some of his defensive efforts were deplorable. I think his game will improve under a better culture & possible move to the wing.

Agree 100%, especially DBJ and Boak just scandalous they are still playing AFL football.

I didn’t expect to win today but once again I thought our senior players killed us. That’s what’s disappointed me the most about these big losses.

The poor tackles, standing off their opponents, poor chasing. I could go on.

There’s well over a 1000 games of experience and they know what they’re doing.

I’m not going to blame our kids for this place we find ourselves in.

Butters too today

Wines and Boak were in best players , at least tried, no criticism of butters i note.

Boak might get a few touches but it’s his inability to contest defensively that continues to hurt us. We often get opened up by his opponents winning the ball against him and streaming away unhindered.

For the past 2-3 years, whenever Boak is in a 1 v 1, I just expect him to not only lose it but let his opponent wrong foot him and carry the ball away. It’s the same when Mead is in those situations.

There’s very little tackle pressure and they get side stepped or brushed off like they’re training cones.

I watched it hoping to see berry or Whitlock show something.
I thought berry did ok.
If was a tough ask of Whitlock to debut at Geelong.

The season has been a shocker but the last month has reached 2011 levels and no one seems to give a shit, and are just blaming injuries for it all.

It’s getting to the point where these performances could have huge ramifications moving forward and we get caught in a death spiral that a new season and coach might not be able to fix.

Don’t bother listening to Davies or Richardson…. They seem to have vanished.

Basically they don’t seem to care, we cant do a thing about it and the media won’t call anyone out.

Hope Carr changes things but I’m sure he won’t be afforded the same level of protection that Hinkley seems to get.
