Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

You don’t agree with what? I’d gladly buy 50 memberships if so called supporters of our club want to run away.

I’ve been loyal 46 years now and care nothing for player names anymore. It’s the club I support.

That's fair enough. But I have a different view. At some point and until the people running the club are bought to account. Why should I continue to financially support them over and over again when nothing changes.

It was very much appreciated. With how tonight has gone thought the next post from an ITK would be confirming us being deregistered from the AFL.

This is correct. I think our ITK's can reveal this isn't really fresh news but it's kinda like saying the "this should never be said" part out loud.

This news is as old as the ITK (I think it was Smurph) who posted that we'd be looking at a new captain next year.


So too would have the veterans in the team who (allegedly) have been more than happy to point out how important he was at the back end of 2023 to those who decided to axe him (among other players).

Allegedly, the older players really haven't been able to build a bridge and "get over" the likes of Jack and Marchy being delisted without anyone coming back.

Lets just say that I got the impression that there were are a couple of list changes last year, that really rubbed the playing group the wrong way - Marchy, Jack Martin, and Kennedy were very popular members of the team of that similar age bracket.

Improve our S&C approach and knee deep in skills training.

The players should have been grateful that we persisted with their perennially injured mates for so long.

I have a real problem with this

Other Kennedy who played every game, Marchy and Martin were perennially injured. Surely even these players would realise marchy and Martin be getting delisted- otherwise it really is a case of the tail wagging the dog

In which case based on all the rumours thus far the off-season could be - TDK, Cripps, Doherty, Curnow, JSOS, Acres.

+ potentially 2 from the list of Saad/Mcgovern/motlop/Durdin/Fantasia

The issue runs deeper. Look at what happened when Mike Fitzpatrick showed interest in becoming president. They closed that door shut really quickly. Ask yourself why? This club won't see success anytime soon with this regime. If the board is no good, how do you run a successful football club on field?

My mate just told me that his brother( who works in player development) at one of the NAB under 18 teams told him that our recruiting team had been doing background checks on one of their former players who now plays for a non vic team.
Also said that a mate of his working at another nab u18 team told him we had done the same thing with them

I get it, but surely that's the nature of the beast in the AFL.

IMO, we held on to Marchy and Martin for long enough and stuck by them through many injuries.

Kennedy is doing well at the Dogs but is behind Cripps and George. In saying that, he never should have been subbed out of the elimination final, that was very poor form.

He won the Brownlow last year, or is 2024 not part of the "modern game"?

If we’re to get anywhere we need to revamp the midfield if he wants to go he deserves to finish his career wherever he wants he’s a star and probably go down as one of our best ever BUT the game requires players to have speed and elite disposal moving forward which we clearly don’t have on our list.

I have a real problem with this

So the players are upset we make list changes to benefit the CLUB.

Would prefer Curnow just leave rather than put up with his half-arsed performances. Guaranteed to sook it up if he wants out and we hold him to his contract.
