I think Jeffo showed some signs in (I think) his last game that can be built on. Seemed like he'd found his willingness to contest at AFL level, just stuffed up a couple of things, bounce didn't go his way, etc. Not saying he'll be a star, but worth having a few more games to look at at least.I've gone back and forth on Jefferson, but I've settled now on a long term approach. We can't keep chop and changing everything about our forward line, never really developing young KPFs and then wondering why our 'forward connection' never seems to improve. Melksham is so miles ahead our best leading forward, so playing Jeffo and JVR next to him as much as possible while he's still around is crucial to their development. Jeffo has played 7 games, reckon you're just being impatient tbh. Basically, you either write off a pick 15 key forward about 3-4 years before he hits his peak, or you actually be a proper grown up club and try and develop him properly first. Looking at JVR this year it's pretty clear how Goody's chop and change development strategy has hurt our key forwards.
Yes, Trac is a poor kick in general, you can't hide that, so you either play him in the midfield with the other two regulars in the 'top 10 worst kicks inside 50' list, or you try and find something that works until we trade out somebody. Trac is dangerous 1 on 1 in the forward line, so I'd rather take that than have him kicking inside 50 (has been rated the worst kick inside 50 in the league as well).
