Whats stopping eagles hoodwinking Gold Coast bid on uwland 1 and then Patterson 2 surely wouldn’t have enough points for both and we would get a gun in Patterson into the team with say sharp pick 2.
Nothing and IMO if that's where they are rated and Annabelles (?) from Lions then bid on them. Make the bastards pay market rates.

We cannot climb with just kids, we must have a number of good senior leaders around the kids. Right now we have very few. We need to add some.
And really only then will we really know what our kids are like.

As many of our seniors are MIA the kids are having to do too much heavy lifting at the moment.

The writing is on the wall for Davies. Unless the suns move on a lot of the Flanders, sexton, fiorini, swallow types, he’s done.

Too many highly rated kids coming in next year that there just won’t be enough spots.
Yeah. Will be other teams in the hunt. Hopefully Mini is a good salesmen and Alex looks at what teams he would be a walk up start in the midfield.

Would we consider taking the remaining three years of jack vineys contract. I've heard dees don't want him - salary dump. He would be that hard nut insider for Harley. Durable. Teach the kids.
Would love Jack. Epitome of professionalism, leadership and hard as nails.

Not paying anything of value for him though other than to take his contract.

I’m sure his old man would be able to convince North to pick up his sons contract.

I mean it’s North ( who almost do as many dopey things trade wise as us )we are talking about here plus nepotism in the AFL community runs strong.

Correct, and not only do we need senior players, we need ones that play every week and that play to a consistent high level.

Hard to find these guys but they are out there. Forget their age, look at what they can do for us and how they can bring the young players along and not have to do all the heavy lifting.
Our senior players for the last 5 years have been a disgrace with their hunger and work ethic.

Agree greatwhiteshark that whatever senior player we get in must be available every week.

That automatically put the highlight pen through the injury prone Mitchell and Duncan suggestions from Bartel.

If the senior players we chase aren’t durable then it’s pointless chasing them.

As bog average as Dev is, I would prefer him because of his availability, to Tom Mitchell by way of example.

Jack Steele feels the right fit, still has a lot to offer but starting to feel on the outer for his current side.

If i was Cripps and Carlton are going to do a clean out at end of season as expected i would put my hand up to come back to WA. What would be the point of staying at Carlton and going through all the turmoil of the early stages of a complete rebuild? I would want to either cash in with a big money contract to finish his career with us or have a slim chance of a flag playing for Freo.

Agree and we are in a position to pay him over as an enticement.

He and Alex Davies from Gold Coast would be my two primary targets.

Show them both the money and get the deals done.

Cameron would be nice but until we hear that he and the Pies are at a standoff at seasons end, I won’t be spending too much time and emotional energy thinking about him is blue and yellow.

Darcy Tucker? No? Too far?

Sad Jim Carrey GIF

We have enough dead wood that we can bring in three first round picks, our three NGAs and still add four or five mature bodies. We should be targeting Cameron to boost the ruck, a Davies, Erasmus or Dev, and one senior player. And we should throw cash at whoever will come. Start with Neale and Cripps then work your way down until you get someone, even if it’s Crouch or Mitchell.

HoneyBadger35 has already got a Jack Viney Eagles button to add to the collection on his scarf.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Don't think we should be recruiting players who aren't going to improve our league side.

We should've learnt from the Langdon's, Witherdons, Petrevski-Setons and more of the world.

Anyone could see SPS was a dud, likewise calves Langdon.

Agree on Dev, although our teenage girl bracket support would improve, particularly if we give him a jumper made out of tissue paper.
