If NAS leaves I don't see how we can get an even somewhat reasonable return from either SA club

No club other than cellar teams have the assets to get Nas. It’s management of clubs that are inhaling the vapours off media hyperbole and trying to get fans excited about the current best players in the league because he may or may not go home.Exactly. Neither club has desirable assets.
Adelaide's first pick is going to be in the 20s. That's putrid. Adding Nas to their squad isnt going to make their future picks any better. Adding a B grader to crappy picks doesnt make those picks any better in a trade.
Unfortunately like most of these trades, we’ll have to cop it on the knob and watch membership numbers go to pooIf NAS leaves I don't see how we can get an even somewhat reasonable return from either SA club
They have the assets - they just won't consider using them and the assets themselves can veto their use.No club other than cellar teams have the assets to get Nas. They seem to think that throwing a few picks around gets it done. It’s all fantasy stuff.
It’s become a massive media beat up but they have nothing to lose by blowing their horns.

It's also on the player managers discussing potential moves without regard for how a trade gets done.No club other than cellar teams have the assets to get Nas. I agree- it's a season where the club has gone nowhere again.
I think the hold up might be the worry the Adelaide clubs won’t be able to get this done. They are being given every opportunity to present an acceptable strategy to get this over the line. It's also on the player managers discussing potential moves without regard for how a trade gets done.
With how this is heading - reportedly all three clubs know nothing but all three clubs believe he is coming to them - Ben Williams rep is going to be dirt at two clubs anywayJust doing some reading on the pre season draft. I don’t think nas can refuse medical sat other clubs because the afl would consider that draft tampering. So I doubt any club can just walk him to the draft. He can choose to sit out for 12 months but that would cost him 1.4 mil. Also I would destroy Ben Williams reputations. Or am I dreaming?
Geez you talk some utter garbage lol
But how does that help the sky is falling in local narrative?Tom Morris “no one knows what nas wants to do, not even his closest friends. All 3 clubs are confident that he will be there (at their respective clubs)”
Sounds like Benny Williams is maximising his clients value.
And when he secures Nas over 2m a season for 7 to 10 years his rep will be as a God with the players. If he has the players he couldn't care less if the clubs hate him. With how this is heading - reportedly all three clubs know nothing but all three clubs believe he is coming to them - Ben Williams rep is going to be dirt at two clubs anyway
I’m now thinking Nas will be playing for all 3 clubs in 2026.Tom Morris “no one knows what nas wants to do, not even his closest friends. All 3 clubs are confident that he will be there (at their respective clubs)”

Maybe it is their farewell party!
Mentioning Darcy like it's a bad decision haha the player that finished 4th in the Rising Star? Come off it.![]()
This Lions gun slid to pick No.31 in the draft. This is why
Michael Whiting finds out how and why Lions gun Logan Morris slid all the way to pick No.31 in the 2023 draftt.co
Michael Whiting thinks he’s a bit clever here trying to throw shit on the club.
Rightly so.![]()

It could be as simple as NAS wants to get home, he’s told his manager to get him the best deal possible at both clubs as he knows he’ll be signing there for 8+ years and he will then nominate the state, and not a specific club to give us a chance of adequate compensation. So what I am hearing is either way Ben is basically burning bridges with 2 clubs come end of season with the way this has been handled
There's been some things to like and things to dislike.
We've played some absolutely horrendous football... again. With absolutely shocking skills and decision making.... again.
The positives for me are
Hall. Just a great pickup for the club.
Garcia. Taken his game to another level. We've been lacking in the midfield and Hugo looks to me like he can make a difference.
Tauru. Could be anything.
I think Higgins overall has had a very good season. Wilkie has been Wilkie again.
Obviously with Nas his form has skyrocketed. If he stays, his improvement has been a huge positive. If he leaves and we get shafted, it's all a bit shit really.
Our list management strategy is confusing at best.
Our fitness and medical team needs a review.
This whole Nas deal after the generally shitty season is draining. I know players need to look after themselves but I'd like to see some commitment and loyalty to the club. I'm not sure how responsible Sos is for that not being more apparent.
Exactly. Neither club has desirable assets.

I don’t think so.Genuine question.
If we front-end a players contract and then trade him, do we get recompense for the money paid out in advance?
Because only the AFL can draft tamper.Just doing some reading on the pre season draft. I don’t think nas can refuse medical sat other clubs because the afl would consider that draft tampering.
